We need 5 marks not 3.

Everyone likes getting gun marks right ?

 

Well there are two problems ...

 

1) The gap between 1 and 2 marks is too big.

2) 3 marks it too easy for the best players.

 

So I propose adding 2 more gun marks.

A middle one at 75%.

And a final one at 98%.

 

That would re-invigorate a lot of lower tiers and inspire a lot of people with some new challenges.

Fair enough, but the germans will have 15 rings on the barrel at level 5. You better not have a short gun then

@EVILpanzer, yes new barrel art would be needed.  That's another bonus.

I think this is a good idea. Although the highest mark should be 100%.

Tbh i'd rather have the first mark at 75% so the chances of bobs gettign the first mark by accident, second at 85% and the third a minimum of 90% but 95% is still ok.

Going by that, you could say the same about 5 marks. And the 2nd vs 4 would make what kind of a difference? For me it would be less rewarding if I got one for every 10% going up. As the big gap between 1 and 2 is what makes the 2nd one satisfying. Vs if I got 2 more along the way. And... considering how the German MOE's look. Even on the Leopard, you would not see that many rings. Nor do some barrels have room for them all.

3 marks is not easy. 2 marks is super easy. 75 is achievable for mediocre player who just plays the game without even trying to farm dmg.

I agree that there is too much room between the marks. You can get the first one by just playing, even I can - and even when I afk and yolo a lot - so that one is rather useless.

A few more would make sense, two rather simple and plain ones to tell the player that he plays his vehicle the right way and three more as a challenge for the better players.

 

But then again... those kinds of things are a crime against teamplay, so I couldn't care less.

The question to ask is "does trying to earn MoE help or hinder team play?"

 

If it encourages better team play then all the better, but if it encourages selfish play to the detriment of the teams's victory, then it is a waste of space. After all, unless the player can maintain the % required, what does it prove? Only that he was better than x% of the players of a certain tank over a certain period. Granted they look nice on a barrel, and they have been earned and are some sort of reflection of the players skills.

When I see somebody with 3 marks, I expect a good player behind that cold, hard steel shell of death known as a "tank" and get my hopes up: "Oh, maybe we won't lose so bad, we might even win!" :ohmy: Unfortunately, most such players camp or play too defensively in critical situations, or they're role-playing General McDouchebag and being toxic for half the match...

 

It's a mixed bowl of... :amazed: WAIT, does this mean even 3rd-mark holders are randomized by RNG? :ohmy: With regards to their behavior, at least.

I think they should increase the requirements of the first mark, to something like 75 %

Make it 70 80 90 (or 75 85 95) and make the marks in gold or other special color at 100.
