Since the addition of the centurion 5/1 RAAC I haven't really played my FV4202 much, mainly due to it just being simply out classed by the 5/1.

The 5/1 has 10metres more view range, has 3 hp/t higher than the FV4202 and better dpm, not to mention a ridiculously improved turret and general armor and the Cent weighs more, (more ramming capability).

The FV4202 has worse soft stats although only by 0.02 the fact that its worse is still a joke. The only benefits to using the FV4202 are the terrain resistances but how is that a balancing factor when the FV4202 is marketed as having "quite a solid turret" when in practice it is incredibly unreliable to bounces tier 7's let alone the same tiers.

I along with others I assume would expect a buff to come the way of the FV4202.

Naw. Centurion 5/1 was supposed to power creep the FV4202 so the owners would feel more urge to buy the new flavor of the month.

4202's turret still works. But you need to add the use of gun depression and ridgelines into it.

The only issue I have with the tank... is the 20 prd's ROF. That and you should have seen the 4202 when it first came as a tier 8 prem. It lost all it's speed just turning a little. So vs before. It's way better and more workable.

Considering half its owners got it for free. And it's been buffed how many times? I doubt many feel too bad about it.

The 4202 is pretty well balanced hence why it looks quite poor in comparison. Buffing the DPM on 4202 would be a decent way to differentiate it from the 5/1 but imo there are other tier 8 mediums that require a buff more than the 4202 does (sta-1, 59-Patton, VTU, CDC etc)

Proven how bad WG balancing team is,

I wouldn't recommend to let them touch

any other tanks at the moment...

Maybe, maaybeee,

if they stop the vodka, and

start a healthy diet, I'll trust them again

to actually figure out how to balance tanks,

maps and ammo.

If any British premium MT need buff it is Chieftain/T95.

It was quite bad when it was introduced but now with introduction of new T8 premiums it is useless.

Considering it was CW reward and that T10 CW reward tanks were recently buffed I believe it is about time that Chieftain/T95 get some buff to make it useful tank.

FV4202 has better camo and feels more mobile, but this doesn't make up for the other disadvantages.

I thought it was made to powercreep Primo Victoria?

The FV is fine, the only reason I don't play it much is because of the alpha.

Played it alot in FL though.

Maybe, just maybe, they could buff it in an interesting way, like buffing the sideskirts, so it can sidescrape a bit against low calibre guns.

We cant have that, it might make it a good tank or something. rasha would riot if Brit tanks become remotely close to how good these tanks was IRL.

Buff it so we have two almost exact copies of UK premium T8 MTs? Makes no sense. Return the 4202 to the regular tech tree at tier 8 and create two new Chieftains as T9 & 10. Give current 4202 owners the new regular T8 and the T9 with all modules researched .

So everyone who has a 4202 loses a tier 8 premium?

How about no.

4202 is fine, no need to buff.

Considering how generally underpowered T8 medium tanks are, I would say that FV4202 is in a pretty good spot.

My main aim here was just too point out the fact that it is completely outclassed by the cent 5/1 in every way possible except terrain resistances :)
