Thanks for the tip ;)

But do you need to push/shoot the tree down? Or can you leave it standing?

About the magical bushes and weird local boundaries of visibility in this game. Since this is a game, not a simulation, there are a lot of "balancing" features in the maps. There are large water areas you cannot see over, since that would make shooting the guys on the other side too easy. Which makes me wonder why they put the water area there in the first place.

This is a problem because people normally assume that you can see over an open area and spot what is on the other side. But in this game you need to learn the local rules. You can see at that spot, you cannot see at that spot for only the reason a game designer of programme decided so.

About hitting your targets: one might think that keeping your tank behind a building and shooting through a window was an effective tactic, just as in real life it is. But no: this game decides that the target and the window somehow magically are related to each other, and so it is actually *easier* to hit a target through a window than it is to hit the *same exact* target standing in open. Weird, isnt it? (And very weak games design).

And the still from-the-beginning-present bug concerning aiming your shots: the gun does not shoot straight, it aims at what ever you are pointing it at. Which becomes a problem when you are shooting at a tank that is not visible to your gunner, or you are trying to lead a shot at a fast moving tank. Then the game thinks you are, for some unfathomable reason, trying to shooting at an infinite point in space. So your gunner, with computer-like ability to calculate ballistics, sends the shot so high it can actually reach the aforementioned infinite point in space. Which is not the point where the tank you are trying to hit is.

Just think about this decision by game designers: they could have made the guns shoot straight. Since the ranges in the game are at the most 500 meters, they would do that in real life anyway. And in real life gunners were not super-computers who could calculate where the shot falls. Instead, they took a guess, shot, watched where the shot fell and corrected their aim until they hit the target. But the designers of this game went the other way: gunners ARE able to super-calculate the ballistics, but guess what next: they ARE NOT able to correct their aim!

On a standing tree. It only gives camo cover from the green and up. But concrete barriers block LOS too.

no  just leave it standing and align your tank behind it ,don't be too close to it or you will get spotted

Actually, my last visit to Rio proved that myth bogus.

right infront of you on the right side there are  2 huge trees, if you knock them down you can also double bush behind it, those are the reason  i take a batchat to the heavy line :P

And this is why the whole spotting system needs to be overhauled. Spotting points should not only be on the side/front top of vehicles but also on their corners. This way a massive heavy tank can't hide behind a tiny tree/bush. It makes no sense.

I love how Wargaming in the past made videos explaining the spotting system and claiming that it worked completely negating the fact that their basic setup is flawed to begin with so it's irrelevant if that specific system works as it's flawed from the ground up.
