Please fix asap, this is a joke. Burned 8 times during my first 35 games (yes i've counted, I am not  exaggerating) while using rations. Switched to fire extinguisher.  Now they just set me on fire twice in a row. It's utterly ridiculous. Most of the of the time I didn't even have any module damage to engines or fuel tanks. Either another f*ck up by WG or another hidden "blancing" mechanic. In any case, it's annoying as hell.

You don't need module damage for fire to start.  It only needs a hit on the engine.  You can have the module saving throw or not enough module damage to take out the engine and still get fire.

I'll wager most are fuel tank fires though from the frontal fuel tank.  Blame the tank designers for that.

It's practically the only balancing factor for russian tanks.

8 out 35? Play the Udes 03 and come back to me. That burned just by seeing an enemy shell. 8 out 35 is not even average for most tanks. So relax.

If you find it to be that much of an issue. Then train preventative maintenance on your driver.

Crew Food user spotted.

But yeah I torched a 268 (not the bobject) with my first shot in an AMX 13 90. Gave me so much pleasure seeing that bushw¨nker fry.

The IS-7/8 chassis also seems to have a frontal fuel tank since shots through the idler wheel cause it to burn.

It's not a bug, it's a feature.

Welcome to russian tanks.

Put a KV-2 on fire tonight with a shot to its frontal hull side.

Good times.

If your fuel tanks are orange, next shot will probably set you on fire. Fix your fuel tanks if you're not running a fire extinguisher.

Also, welcome to Russian tank design,

lets put the ammo and the fuel on the front, what could go wrong, comrade?

I don't think I can recall ever having a double fire ie use extinguisher and on fire again before the 430, and it's happened to me at least twice while driving it.

It's always been like that for the 430 even as a tier 10.

So no its not a bug but a design flaw.

Always make sure you fix your fuel tank IMMIDIATELY once it gets damaged! If you can accept that you have to use a repair kit for this, it will all be fine and dandy from then on.

I've been playing this tank for last few days. Repairing fuel tanks is a must or next frontal shot is (probably) gonna set you on fire.

I am playing this tank with combat ratios and also using directives - Experienced Firefighters. This setup works fine, but again, repairing fuel tanks is a must for this tank.
