Its on sale and I was thinking on buying it for completing the scout missions (haven't played a scout in a very long time, 2 years, and last scout was the tier 6 vk which I loved). I also have spare gold that I can use to unlock its components. Is it worth it?

You can probably do most of the StuG IV Missions (which, going by your lack of playing Lights that you stated, I assume you're on) in Tier V/VI Lights and they're probably comparably more fun tier-for-tier than the SP I C. Even if I were to say ok, go for a Tier VII Light, I think the SP I C Would be the lowest on the list even if you've never even started grinding towards others like the French or the Americans.

It's a good passive scout... But that's about it. The issue is that it's slow for a light. So you won't get to any good spot early. Its gun has no dpm. So won't win any 1 on 1 vs even lower tiers if they have full HP.

Shell velocity it's comparable with KV-2s HE. Not bueno.

Not really and HWK12 is much the same. RU251 is pretty good though.

It was fun with the autoloader once you got the hang of it.

Now it’s meh. Too slow and slow firing gun, you play second line or assassin.

The worst tier 7 light tank by far in my opinion. While you do have 390 view range, you are stuck in the passive scouting role as you're too slow and sluggish to active scout properly.

The gun is crap, it has just under 1.5k DPM at tier 7 which is beyond awful, gun handling is also poor with mediocre soft stats and the shell velocity, oh boy the shell velocity. 630m/s is almost derp-gun like, the O-Ni derp has 500m/s just for comparison. 220 alpha and 158 pen is nice, but there are far too many trade-offs that make it worthwhile imo.

Mobility wise, it has the lowest top speed of the tier 7 lights, the worst p/w ratio, and the worse terrain resistances. This on a platform with 10mm all around armour where the only thing that won't triple overmatch you is the tier 5 leopard.

Going by server statistics, its placed 49th lowest out of the 59 tier 7 tanks on winrate and 58th on damage.

Overall, it is possible to make it work but its still an exceedingly mediocre tank.

I hated the Sp 1c . and sold it

If you drive it you have the feeling it falls on his side at any moment.

its way to tall and drives bad ,gun is bad

i like the HWK12 better version of the sp1c

I kind of liked mine. Just finished the grind after 51 battles and 61% winrate. Got 73% MoE so it should be an easy tank to 3 mark, not that i bother :P

It used to be great with the 3 shot autoloader.

Now it's nothing special, just another run of the mill artificially handicapped light tank with a single shot pew-pew gun.

It shares the same tragic story with the 59-16 and VK2801 for instance, all of them lost the thing that made them unique (which would not have been even remotely overpowered with the new MM).

I think people are being a bit unfair towards the SPIC. Its a very good LT. Mobility certainly isn´t as bad as people make it out to be and the gunhandling is really good. 220 Alpha with -10 depression and that gunhandling is a really nice combo. I would say the only real downside to the tank is the shell velocity.

I don´t miss the autoloader one bit. Looking at the MOE values its spot on with the 1375, LTG, and WZ. T71 DA which is considered "OPed" is only 110 higher than the SPIC.

Its a good tank if you play it correctly.

It's not exactly great. The base accuracy of 0.36 Is pretty nice and I think joint best across a few of them, but the soft stats are then the worst at 0.15 For all three. The only tank that is really worse is the DA, with 0.17 For moving/tank traverse but 0.12 For turret traverse. The DA Of course however has the clip potential of 900, compared to 220 With a base of around 9 Seconds reload. :P

I feel a lot more comfortable with the SPIC gun than the WZ or LTG for example. If you aim with the SPIC you will hit where you aim and the 2.11 aim time is really nice.

For that alpha on a LT the gun is REALLY nice. I´m currently playing a lot with the LTG and that gun is just awful AND it has 40 less alpha.
