Ok, I've just played heavies, to bounce 3k for the T34s marathon.

OMG. Not only was I a bit (ok, a lot) sh*t, but I was at a 20% WR!

Now I have to say, I like the marathon free tank games that WG put into the game. Ok, so the T34S probably isn't a great tank - but it's a grind that even us mediocre players can enjoy, so thanks WG, appreciate it!

But it hasn't done my stats any good - I play like an idiot, to fulfill the mission requirements... Yeah, I know, my own fault.

So, am I the only sucka......... Or do you also try a little too hard, just because it's there....??

I would say, just play as you usualy do and the mission of the day will come on its own :) (or try hard a little bit if the requirements are quite tricky)

All of these missions have been easy, as in you are bound to complete them if you play a few games in the right tanks per day.

When you get a mission to bounce "X" amount of damage most people start to play like idiots focussing on bouncing damage rather then winning the match.

Don't play stupid, don't sit in the open like a lemon, just play normal and the blocked damage will come.

No, the missions are simple enough to complete without screwing my game.

You can complete them in a few battles, most of the time it will take me 3 to 5 maybe 6 battles to do so.

Doing the missions with historical tanks only so its a little easier.

Bounce 3000 nope just 500.

Luckily I already had the churchill III but I grabbed a couple of low tier tanks from their list that seemed good choices.

I just play the games as I would normally

Mission 30 tomorrow so betting they make it a tricky one to get the T34S

As has been said countless times in this thread and in others about EVERY mission in the game (including personal missions)

Stop TRYING to complete them. You will end up focusing on farming damage/assist/blocking and not on what you should be doing at that time. You will win less and play ultimately worse.

The mission tomorrow will be no different to the others, some people haven't completed 29 yet so what would be the point in them making my 23rd mission harder?

I have never looked at the mission requirements for any of the missions for this marathon, yet I find that I have completed every one so far. So to answer your question: No, obviously not.

I doubt they will make it tricky. You still have another 20 attempts at getting it. I only have 9 missions completed (still need one today) and there are 22 days left I think. So I'll have one to spare. I'm guessing they made it easier to cover for the summer holidays. This is a mission to keep the player numbers up, without the players having to justify spending 5 hours on the computer every day.

So, maybe I will get this one after all, maybe not. I really enjoyed the holidays and feel relaxed :B

Well, especially in low tiers the Kursk missions woke up the worst zombies among players, however the easy goals are easy to score so you can call it a day after only a few battles. Unless you're a zombie yourself. What I actually fear the most is when a mission requires one or even several wins :hiding:

Considering you only need 500 if you have any of the tanks that did take part. Inc the Ferdi. And it's not like you need 20 000 for the rest. It will come by normal play. I've played daily runs with meds today and I'm almost done.

Most just take a tier X HT out for one game and they are done anyway. Not like it will ruin the other tiers that much for so little vs past events that demanded way more. That and you need 30 days out 50 to get it. If you don't like one day. Just 100% ignore it and pick an easier later that you suspect might cause you less issues overall. Unless you really really want the 50 day camo.

Sorry team, apologies! :)

Since I am doing Kursk missions in my Nashorn and my Ferdinand, my stats start rising again. Does that count?

As said, you can usually complete the missions without trying but if you see that your team (or what remains of it) isn't playing for the win, it's not worth ruining your own game trying to do everything they're not. As always, look at what your team are doing as well as what the enemy are doing and play your game appropriately.

No, those missions don't screw me up because I don't bother doing them. I want the games I play to be fun, not like a job. As soon as a mission forces me to play at a certain time or do something other than what I would do in a normal match, I have absolutely no interest to beat them.

And in general, all those missions are pretty bad for the game because they are just another factor that turn people into egoists.
