Steppes.

I'm in my Skorp on A4, behind the railway carriages.

An O-Ho destroys me from... D8! His shot from D8 went beneath the railway carriages.

I had 600-something HP left and he one-shotted me, so he used the 15 cm gun. But that gun has a dispersal of 0.54 meters per 100 meters. From A4 to D8 there must be at least 300 meters.

So the Japanese tanks are not OP enough, they are also assisted by RNG?

The shell has to land somewhere, this time you were there when it landed.

0.54m dispersion doesn't mean every shot will land 0.54m away from where it was aimed and even if it did maybe he aimed 0.54m away from where you were.

Then WG should spare us with these made-up technical details like dispersion rate. Or put a fine-print next to them - "may vary wildly based on luck".

No, it means an insult to our intelligence. If you put 0.54/100m dispersal rate then RNG should fall WITHIN those parameters. Not break them. If RNG can break those parameters then why bother list them? Put "random" instead.

What the actual [edited]does this mean? Do you mean that the sumo put his 152mm shell outside his reticle bloom, because that is what this post implies. I begin to think that you intend to insult our intelligence, because this seems just a distraction technique ala mayor West.

O-Ho's shell went through a very small space, the one between the railway carriages and the earth beam on which they sat. That's probably a 0.5-1 meter opening.

Since he couldn't have shot at me without putting the centre of his crosshairs on the small exposed part of my turret, it means the centre of his crosshairs was in that 0.5-1 meter opening.

So he hit it bullseye.

If they say the dispersal rate is 0.54m/100m but RNG kept the shot bullseye then it isn't behaving within the stated parameters.

Yes it is within the parameters.

True, if you were at 300m, it could hav gone 1,62m to either the left our the right of the center. But this doesn't mean the center is no longer within the parameters.

With your luck, I wouldn't buy a lottery ticket though :teethhappy:.

Of course it is.

It can be anywhere inside the dispersion circle, including dead centre.  And since it has a bias toward the centre anyway it's really not surprising if he hit.

Because they don't understand the word random, and feel entitled to life always going their way?

YOU EITHER GIVE A TANK ARMOR AND A BALANCED GUN OR YOU GIVE THE TANK A STRONGER GUN, BUT LESS ARMOR.

Japanese heavies tier for tier is a nice meme if you dont shoot gold at them or you are 2 tiers higher than the jap heavy.

Not only do you have to try find a weakspot, but meanwhile the jap heavy can just splash you for more damage than your penetrating shot would damage them. They are armored arties

I got hit once, too. I still hear that sound of cracking metal and dropping HP when I sleep.

No, seriously. Do you want to start a thread everytime you get hit by some sort of lucky hit? That's stupid. Especially when you were in a balancebreaking tank, too...
