It makes perfect sense. How much do you think is due to one than the other. You should be able to answer this surely?

Why do you tell me?

Because you’re the one who’s claiming it’s all bunkum, so how much is due to one and how much is due to the other. You must know the answer to this surely, otherwise your position is somewhat weak.

It is not me who should provide an argument for both sides. If you disagree with what I am saying, it is up to you to provide a reason.

To answer the question, I already said we are not helping the situation. I also don't deny that there are some aspects that are man made, such as certain chemicals that damage the atmosphere. However, I want to bring this back to my original point. Climate change is natural. I don't like it when people say climate change is some brand new phenomenon. That's all I was trying to say.

Not at all, you’re the one making the claim so you back it up. The fact is you haven’t done that.

So how much is natural and how much is man made then in the current situation. As you’re such as expert to claim it’s all bunkum that must be an easy question for you to answer, so why not answer it?

Hard to say really. There are a number of factors that contribute to climate change such as solar energy, the earths orbit, natural phenomenon like volcanoes e.t as well as the natural cycle of warming and cooling. Our contribution is undeniable and I already said we are not helping the situation. According to experts, our effect on global warming has increased by 400% since the 1950s. I don't deny that. However, since our current climate cycle started in the 1850s, I don't believe we are solely responsible for causing it.

So it’s hard to say really but your original claim was that it was all bunkum. So what you’re actually saying is that you don’t really know what you’re talking about.

My original comment was this "Yet there are people that claim that our world is getting hotter and hotter and its all our fault". I have literally just said that is not all our fault. I have provided evidence in abundance that it is not all our fault.

How does natural changes rule out man made change? Because the changes of the present day has happened before. For example, a recent study of carbon dating marine sediments shows that sea surface temperature in the North Atlantic was 1 degrees warmer 1000 years ago during the Medieval Warm Period.

I wonder in what world you live in, but I know in what world you will die, and you will pretty soon know it as well.

Whatever we do against earth change (ice melting, forest dying, temperature and oceans rising) -and we won't do much- is already too late.

Cheers.

So how much is our fault then. You must be able to answer this from your extensive research into the subject surely?

How much isn't our fault since you happen to know better than me.

By the way, as a technicality, I didn't actually make any claims in my original post as everything besides my opinionated remark was factual. Also, the evidence provided thereafter are also facts. Everything else was interpreted as opinion.

You saying it’s not only our fault you can’t even roughly quantify how much is our fault. Why do you find it so difficult to answer simple questions?

1/10 for trolling Jabster

If you think defining "how much is out fault" is a simple question, you are definately under researched in the area of environmental studies. Even the so called experts can't agree on any of the big questions, they just manufacture a "consensus" in an attempt to convince people who don't bother to look at the reseach, which (amongst other things) makes their postion somewhat weak.

Oh excellent, can you provide some links to the peer reviewed papers that you’ve had published as it’s always intresting to read both sides of the argument.
