First, i am glad to see that the 'chat & player list issues' we've been experiencing since Christmas 2017 were fixed.

The topic is about simple and basic feature i find missing in WoT as online game: Player status

While i am in game, i lack a lot of information about my online friends: Who is looking for platoon? Who is afk? who is waiting? etc..

So, what do i do? i PM them all, when i feel lazy i just set a platoon and invite whoever i can and wait for response.

Instead, it would be nice to let every player set his status as: waiting \ looking for platoon \ browsing the shop \ just chatting and so on.

Automatic status can be set to "AFK" if player shown no activity in the past 15 minutes, or simply by the player who is about to take a break or do something else while the game is running.

For me, it can save some time annoying other players in chat or aimless invites to platoon and i am sure more people would appreciate this feature.

So, what you think? would it be helpful or just useless?

Ah yes! No more 'connecting to server' in friend list, no more flashing empty messages...

I still get this from time to time.

Not last week, but in July it happened.

Maybe the shrinking playerbase put less load on the chat server so it works better now.

For your idea, I agree. Every successful multiplayer game have this rather simple feature.

I had zero friends online tonight, which was kinda strange since quite a few of them was speaking in clan chat, I also have seen the chat go down recently, sure they might have fixed some of it by restarting the chat server more frequently, but it for sure still happens from time to time. Regarding your idea though, I agree with Mr Muffin Man above :)

Why exactly did you think the fourth vote option was a good idea? It's like having this big blinking red button labelled "Do not press." which may or may not be linked to explosive devices.

Good idea to have diffrent categories for a players status... hope WG implement this in a future update.

I had a post on this in the suggestion thread. Pointed out about it on wot twitch and pm-d one of the wg stuff. Nothing.

It's simple - parse the status from the friends list to the chat/clan/shared channel. It shows you who is in the battle and who is not. It's annoying to search through that friend list thingy.

So there, you get the green and red bulb already. What can be so hard?

On the same topic implementing a right-click on your own nickname or a button that you tick or untick to set your bulb yellow for indicating you are afk/busy is the second part of the solution. Simples.

Sadly the cookie option has vanished, leaving the poll looking a bit odd with currently 22 voters and 15 non-cookie votes.

Just for the record I voted cookie because... well... you were asking for it, but I do like the idea.

There are only few obsolete things in this world and you demanded to remove it...

It was hardly a demand :D. I just suggested your poll would get better results if it weren't there. It's kinda shooting yourself in the foot if you present a useful idea and explicitly give people permission not to consider it. Perhaps if the cookie option had been added as an *additional* vote option...

+1 from me.

It's a useful feature on Steam for sure.

Although Steam does often tell lies.

Myself & my very good friend & flatmate ******* sit within 2ft of each other playing co-op Zombie Army Trilogy with our respective friends lists saying we are both 'offline'
