Hello developers,

Would you be so kind adding 2x UI scale for 1440p resolution in WoT. I have tested 4k and 2x UI scaling is working there.

It is really difficult to keep track of the UI without an 2x upscale for higher than 1080p resolution.

Thank you,

Tooltonk

You could give this mod a try. https://wgmods.net/535/

I have not tried this mod, so I don't know how well it works.

Is there such a big difference from 1080p to 1440p that it's worth using that resolution? (because it "looks better"?)

I only have a 1080p monitor so I wouldn't know, enlighten me.

Not sure it makes any difference for games but a big monitor @ 1440p is very good for work - Excel, Word etc.  Particularly if you use 2 of them.

I don't see anything wrong with the UI at 1440p...

Spoiler

Maybe the OP should go to specsavers?

I've played @ 2560x1440 for years and never had a problem with the  UI here . I can see  and use it and as far as i'm concerned it's fine , that is unless your'e using a smartphone for your screen. In that case you are screwed.

For gaming not really worth it, you have to buy new hardware way more often, while on 1080p you can use older tech way longer. For human eye there is barely any difference, so only good if you can burn money no problem.

Besides the garage UI being smaller and shows more? Not really. If you have an Nvidia card you can play around with DSR settings via their control panel to "fake" 1440p. As in you can use 1440p as a resolution before it goes to the buffer, but the buffer scales it to fit you monitor there again.

Except that even high-end gaming PCs start to show signs of being oudated after 5-6 years of service.

And even my 6-year old rig can handle 1440p on most games just fine (as you can see from the second screenshot).

Switching the Carousel from "Minimalistic" to "Adaptive" in settings makes the carousel larger.

Geforce Gtx 1080ti cant handle 4k ultra with stable 60fps, for 1440p ultra you need 1070ti/1080, for 1080p ultra 1070, while on 768p 1060 6gb all you need, so all you do when going higher p is that you make ur gaming rig obsolete way faster. Sure you can make it work but have to lower graphic quality

Meanwhile my GTX950 runs WoT 1080p 60fps on high settings fairly stable. Ultra works too, only drops below 60 when looking at a thick forest or across a big map. ...to be fair I overclocked it a little though. :P

What I meant is by "needed gpu" that if you are playing some unoptimised port/newest AAA game and switch every settings to ultra mindlessly even if almost produces no improvement, just because you can.

But as your example proves one can get by older gpus very well, though this wouldnt work on 1440p, so dont go above 1080p, no point just wasting money!

Yeah, I can't go above medium settings on any other new game, fps always drops below 60.

WoT's graphics are the most perfect balance of image quality vs. stable framerate I've seen in any game. Province has a weird stutter effect when looking at the middle of the map though. :sceptic:

Depends on the size of the monitor.

1080p looks dated compared to 1440p if using a monitor over 22-24 inch's and after playing on a bigger screen it would be soul destroying to go back to a small one

UI is fine here using Ultra-wide 3440x1440

But why would you need a monitor bigger than 22-24 inch's above 24 inch's not good for gaming, you have to turn your head to see the whole screen, or of course you can position ur monitor way back but then what was the point getting big screen? One big mistake is downscaling ur monitor, anytime u downscale lower p will look horrible, while using native 1080p absolutely fine or even 900/768p!

Agreed, thats part of its success even very old gpus can run it reasonably well

If there were any good 768p monitor I wouldnt switch to higher p...

I heard of a new invention.  I think they're called glasses?  You put them in front of your eyes and you can see stuff - miracle.

Even with glasses some people can't see past their own mediocrity!
