Can anyone tell me an effective way to passive spot on the Siegfried Line map? Standard game mode, I have no clue how to achieve this on that map. Thanks in advance.

Truth is, there is essentially no passive spotting at Siegfried Line.

Well, there are two small tree/bush groups at both D3 and G4 which allow for some passive spotting, but the efficiency of that place is somewhat limited (for starters it greatly depends on you making it there unspotted in the first place)

Try these bushes:

Close enough to give you vision, cover to mean they need to get really close to spot, and outside the usual lanes around the outsides of the open area.

100% passive spotting isn't the most effective though, I like to start out passively, then switch to active later.

Edit: goddamn ninja'd.

I blame it on my phone's image editor wanting to be updated.

and suspicous types are bound to shoot a round or two through those given they are the only hideing places

They're big enough that you can hide to the side of the bushes.

Not that I've ever taken blind fire there.

I wouldn't passive spot in blatant bushes like those ones.

It's fine at lower tiers but at some point people will blind fire spots like that... Arty will splash you in absence of better targets. Plus think about wtf you will go if spotted, as if it's surrounded by open space then it's probably too risky.

There is (limited) undulating terrain that can be used to hide / throw enemy aiming off when you need to run.

There are (thick) enough bushes there to render detection viable only at proxy ranges (or close to it) as long as you don't fire.

I think I've been blind shotted once, never by arty in those bushes.

But note that this map is slightly changed in the next patch.

The north spawn was really good, with over 1800 assist before he started moving about!
