Man, seriously. I remember playing computer games with the historically correct (more or less) emblems present. Then suddenly we started to see those mock up symbols in the games....

Germany allready lost the war in 1944. Bombing civilian targets in1945 had no tactical use what so ever.

Tactical use?  Are you serious?  Are you a child?

There's a thing called strategy.  This was strategic bombing.  Bombing the industrial centres of nazi Germany was not even remotely intended to be tactical bombing.

Answer this though before you make more of a fool of yourself:  Why were the Germans still launching V2 rockets at the UK as late as 27 March 1945?  That's the last day they were used.  Was the war over then?  Should we have been going easy on them by then?

Because people have woken up to the inappropriateness of all that.

I guess we all missed the bit when they surrendered in 1944?

Well, if that were the case then all the people involved in historical enactments would actually be Nazis then...

That would make every actor that has had a role as a german ww2 soldier a nazi.

@Hedgehog 1963, I can't understand how you can honestly think this way, it's like saying that if someone cosplays as a villain from some tv-show or video game you approve of said character's actions and motives.

Bombing Dresden had no use what so ever. No production in the centre city. So no I am not a fool. I also dont have any love for Nazi Germany. But be realistic there is no strategy in bombing civilians at the end of a war. Killing woman and children.

Dead by v2 2600....dead in Dresden 25.000-200.000....not sure how many refuges were in the city. https://en.m.wikiped...in_World_War_II

And also killing 2 billion more by deporting them from their homes.

https://en.m.wikiped...ermans_(1944–50)

Seems like warcrimes to me.  But winners write history.

To say it had no use is plainly wrong. To say it was justified is a different question, to say you wouldn’t have done the same thing is also a different question.

Oh please.  TV villain doesn't even come close.  The nazis were the worst regime in the history of this planet and dressing like one is just being a wannabe. And yeah I've heard all the arguments before so spare me.

Stalins regime made more casualties......but since when is there a number on casualties when it comes to warcrimes?

So warcrimes always have no use? Starving 3 billion Russians captured soldiers had use for the Germans.....but still a big warcrime.

You need to read some books if you don't know that Dresden was a centre for production in WWII.  The myth that there was none is just that,  a myth.  That link you posted from Wkipedia is clearly something you have not read yourself.

So while Germany was bombing London with V2s still in February 1945 the British were supposed to not bomb German cities?  Have you any idea how stupid that sounds?

2 billion?  Billion? The population of Germany was some 87 million in 1939 but 2 billion were killed according to you.

You are embarrassing yourself.

Ah now we deflect towards Stalin.  Well done for being so predictable.

Do you think what Stalin did makes the nazis any less vile?  You're wrong if you do.

Trying to simplify actions that happen in war is not a good starting position. I’m also not sure where you got the war crimes have no use statement from.

Incredible as it is, seems in Britain they seem to resent the presence of re-enactors wearing German uniforms. So they have come up with the ingenious concept of having WW2 re-enactments without any enemies... at least if you believe this Indy 100 article:

One event is hardly indicative of Britain as a whole is it.

No, but it is an indication of a 'sanitizing' frame of mind, as it were. Would be incredibly awkward if that kind of way of seeing things would become more wide spread. Obviously any re-enactment group needs to 'police' its own as well so that their activities don't slip from strictly historical into political.

I think you are imbarrassing yourself and should read some more. I hardly doubt you have so many books about the war as me.

You also seem to ignore and dismiss the info I gave or can read in books about Germany at the end of the war (from English or Us writers).

Very sad that your bias look at things is troubling your view.  Very sad that you even say it is not true that billions of Germans were expelled from Rumania to Prussia and did not starve or were killed.

Oh well.  Usa also did dot kill native anericans?

I am not saying Nazi were not Evil. Clearly they are big time. But so is Com Russia.

Discussion was that Nazi symbols are nit used because of warcrimes.  My point was why are symbols of other countries who are guilty of warcrimes not banned in games.

ASFAIK it's Germany that bans these symbols in Germany & WG can't use them if they want to sell in Germany.  Not a case of your war crimes are worse than my war crimes.
