Well at least it has a 0-skill BiA crew.

That's not why this vehicle is good, it's armour works extremely well against mediums of the same tier or higher, while it does have weakpoints like the half lower hull they are much more managable then a regular Sherman as is the added turret armour.

Against high pen TD's and heavy you will struggle even when angled especially at bottom tier, however it's  decent mobility and gun depression allow it to take the medium flanks open to it where it is far more heavily armoured than it's competition, this also allows it's 76mm M1A2to go to work. Solid RoF and decent pen for the calibur allows you to bully same tier and lower mediums by punching through there front again and again while they plonk off yours.

Late game you switch to flanking and shoot sides of engaged heavies or hunting for TD's and SPG's. Please don't discount this as just a "free BiA crew" although I'm sure that's wargaming intent, it is by far the best tier VI Sherman it feels like the E2 and E8 had a baby and kept all it's stats at the higher end of the middle you just need to work the M1A2, the good news is it can go through the front of the new polish heavy lower plate with premium.

Nope, not this one, look at the price.

Just a 100% BIA training, not a 0 skill.

The Thunderbolt crew was always 0 skill before, I doubt anything has changed. When the Thunderbolt first appeared QB did a review with a press account where BIA was counted as a skill which confused a lot of people but they changed that on release and the crew was the same as any Berlin crew.

Ok ty, my bad then.

Always thought that there was a difference in the formula.

And 15€ is the same price as all premium tiers 6 tanks.

But at least you don't have another free skill training ?

Like female crew or Buffon? No, you don't get a bonus 'free' skill ...and remember that extra skill isn't zero xp like the first skill anyway. WG effectively just gives you the crew xp to unlock it.

But yes, Thunderbolt is good value in most ways, if you already have the vehicle, buying it again givers you 5 BIA crew, 3.5k gold and a garage slot.

It's a Zero Skill crew - bought one when they first came out.

Ok ok I got it ;)

And per an extraordinary luck this crew fits the new T26e3 premium and the next tank of the month !

Question is just what cannot go through the lfp of the new polish heavy?:D As bad a player as I am this is one pretty good tank.

good tank, i like playing it

good value for money too

has good vr so it can spot in bottom tier, decent mobility to flank, you can bounce some lucky shots on bottom tier, bounce reliably when top tier, so good choice for us med

Nice T6 USA Medium nice crew trainer can be a strong tank when its top tier, very nice BIA crew 1st skill is done waiting for you, 2nd skill counts as the 1st so crew training is much faster

can use a V Stabilizer very nice.. and 128mm standard AP shells with low 115 alpha

Your forced to use 177mm penetration Premium ammo on some Tier 7 and always withT8 which is expensive and badly negates any silver profit money making, you can lose credits badly

((which is more to do with Wargaming and its messed up 3-5-7 MM template fail of always being at bottom tier

I bought this when it was available for the first time. When you top tier its great tank to play but it hard to support anyone when your bottom tier and don't have the speed to get in position and of course you can only pen with gold.

Is this worth a purchase if only wanting a USA med crew trainer when I have the RAM 2? Not suggesting the RAM is a better tank.
