During the X-Mas event I had acquired some premium vehicles which I then sold in order to make space for other vehicles, knowing that I could restore them later if needed.

So today, with the ... ahem ... "redesign" of the store, I also found out that WG changed their policy regarding restoring sold premium vehicles.

Sold-off premiums can now only be restored within 72 hours !!

And apparently, their system has problems, because I restored the Pz B2 and the T-28E F-30, but was unable to restore Valentine II.

I contacted support about that.

open the in-garage vehicle comparison and add the vehicles you want to restore, then click on "preview" at the bottom. Then, on the preview window, there will be a "restore" button at the bottom if the vehicle is eligible.

They really over complicated the process to restore. Seriously is this what WG is putting their resources in?

It's like the missions UI all over again. If it's not broke, no need to fix it. Tho the new UI was fine and better for the store. The depot is a bit messy. And they even removed some filter options. And it doesn't even say on how many tanks I have optics on etc anymore. Not that it's vital info. But more like nice useless info. Same with personal reserves. I would be happier if there was a way to manually scale the icons to fit more in one screen. As I don't need the depot icons to be that big. Tho that's more a personal preference.

Been waiting for WG to follow up on that for WOT. They did that on WOWS ages ago and reduced the recovery limit timer down to 72 hours. I thought they would do the same to WOT soon after.

Simple solution. Don't sell your Premium Tanks. :honoring:

So it seems that rule for 72 hours is only for "normal" premiums going by most sites now "as in not the portal or from WG".

CW tanks, PM tanks and other special tanks like the Foch 155 etc, and removed premiums like the T-34-3 and rarely sold premiums have a different set of rules. As in no time limit, but you can only retrieve one every 3rd day going by those that have done a retrieval on those.

Tho it's lost if it was sold pre 9.16. As anything before that is gone, even without the time limit.

I can't even acces the store most of the time, and when I click Depot the game just hangs. Can't buy equipment, can't sell anything. No surprise they fubarred the premium restorations as well. Probably intentional to not have to give you your tanks back for credits = you need to buy them again.

Ok, found a way, just go to compare tanks, add all the premium tanks, and if you put your mouse over you will get the recover option.

Smart of Wg to do

They will sell more garages now :)

BUT...72 hours to restore is unfair for now....me personally didnt see any notification on it on the website.

So people who dont know will lose there payed tanks ...

they should dump all tanks back in the garage and than if you want to sell it notifie people about it.

I never sold a premium tank but i would be pissed if i lost a couple..without propper warning.

It's a money making platform first, a game second. WG focuses on monetizing the game rather than fixing anything or making it fairplay balance.

Imbalanced game is like a country in war, it's a sink hole of cash in return of no progress.

72h rule was there since the introduction of recovery for credits ( https://worldoftanks...ng-tanks-crews/ ). Nothing changed.

Also yes, the rule is stupid.

It's stupid to hang an arbitrary time limit on restoring tanks.

If you have battles in it in your service record, you should be able to restore it without any time limit. It's clear you owned one after all.

It reminds me of a user at work that archived mails in outlook by deleting them. Then the person complained that his deleted mails were empty. They had bee purged server side to reduce space. You cannot expect deleted stuff to be retained by the system.

I hope you learned something by this. :P (Besides that it's really disrespectful to misuse a recovery system in that way!)

How arrogant.

When an organization establishes rules and procedures I expect these to be followed by said organization.

When said rules and procedures get changed with potential dire consequences, I expect impacted persons to be duly notifed, ideally with a notification reciept.

When an organization doesn't follow the above bare minimum rules, it's the organization that is showing utter disrespect for its users.

The only thing one has to learn from this is to not trust WG.

There's a reason you can buy extra garage slots. If you are in need of extra garage slots you have to buy them. You can't expect a recovery system to keep the hand under you when you are obviously misusing the system. You think you are clever but you are in fact just exploiting a very generous recovery system where wg tried to offer premium customer service for those that accidentally sold a premium tank.

You could very well be one of the major reasons that we no longer have that premium customer service. So thank you and EDIT!

Can someone explain this? Premium tanks we sold can be restored? But why can't you buy them again anyway? Are you talking about those tier2-4 free gifted shi* tanks?

EDIT

Yes, WG's intention behind the move is clear and I'm not complaining about that. A clearly announced policy is fair game.

I'm complaining about silent change of policy with the possible loss of premium tanks or gold.

I don't know what is so difficult to understand.

sold premiums can be restored for credits. some tier 4 tanks like the Pz B2 or Valentine II are interesting because of preferential MM.
