I can't help but notice how newer UI design in WoT is BAD.

Some time ago, they messed up the missions interface, it became unclear and confusing.

Now it's the turn of the store.

The new interface is absolutely HORRIBLE, confusing, huge loss of time before finding what you are looking for.

WG, please stop these horrible designs and come back to clearly arranged interfaces and when viewing an item's details, please display ALL its data in a clear manner.

Yeah. Every single of their bigger UI reworks was a complete failure so far, no idea how you can mess up perfectly working things that much.
The stats are still the worst part. Instead of adding some vital information, they removed it and hid the rest of it behind countless clicks.
The tank mission interface with the map and all looks nice and is kinda usable, but that's it...

WG, if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

The store, depot and so on were perfect, and now it has a childish UI, with big buttons and images, as if 2-year olds have to press them.

Don't forget, WE, the players, have to use it, and it is US, these same players, who pay you money to keep everything running, and your bellies fat.

WG have never been very good at UI design.

The UI design is done by dev + marketing guys who are heavily influenced by the smartphone / tablet new style :

- big buttons that you have to push for uncovering what is underneath

- huge vertical scrolls

- and less information in 1 screen

... As if we were (all) playing on smartphones and 10" tablets...

Sure, we will "adapt" as suggests some. But, if the ergonomic is well conceived, should we "adapt", or have an interface that flows naturally, intuitively ?

And above all, simpler in the access and number of actions for getting the data required ?

I guess it is a try, as it is not easier and simpler as the old interface. It is perhaps a worthy tentative, but they need to improve on it.

Guess who asked daddy for a 'culurfull weth big buttuns' UI, and then got handed a napkin to draw a concept which by magic was accepted and implemented...

I'm inclined to agree. Logged in yesterday for a few games and checked it out. Found the store/depot/tanks UI pretty *edited* tbh. I can see a lot of work has gone into it for nicer fancier graphics for the items but the actual layout is illogical and confusing. Tanks and items appear to be displayed just randomly with no option to select a sensible layout which would display tanks in order of tiers or classes etc, they're just all mixed together randomly.

The PR selection screen is too busy and all over the place instead of just showing the same PRs with different time options or different % strengths they are just all split up and strewn across the screen. Also the once user friendly and effiecient task bars for the displayed tank on screen where we could see the modules, equipment and consumables are now hidden from view so if you are borrowing and sharing equipment between tanks you won't know if you forgot to put something back and play a battle without view range or something criminal. There was just no need for it.

Apart from some little issues and a bit of missing information, the previous ones were fine. Not 100%, but perfectly usable. It's only the new ones that are utter crap.

I advise you to use in Aslain's mod (http://aslain.com/index.php?/topic/13-aslains-xvm-mod-modpack-installer-wpicture-sound-preview/), the little mod "Mission Helper".

It is very nice !

In-game, it tells you what you have to do for the tank you play, and the conditions turns green if they are met (except if it can not be calculated in-game).

Just another confirmation that the current batch of Devs  dont actually play the game.

For me Its not overly intuative . just looks & 'feels'  messy.

Maybe lts better in russian.

"The new interface is absolutely HORRIBLE"

This.

Why? Because no-one needs a 6cm x 6cm large icon of a coca cola box to see his amount of coca cola consumables.

Complete & absolute fail. Please rework. Thanks.

I think they made the UI that way for all their visually impaired players...  We know there's thousands of them

I remember finishing school and getting my first job.  It was at a power station pressure vessel factory.  The site was huge and the sights and sounds so intimidating.  I wanted to go back to my safe school.  However, I was now an adult and adapted to the change.  I agree the new UI is not adding functionality.  I know I will get used to it.

Yep, tablet/smarthope interface design in a PC game. Nothing wrong with that. /s
