I have just realised how authentic game play really is.   I swear I feel such an idiot for not realising earlier.   Wargaming factored in the below as an attempt for realism hence so many 0 damage players.

What are these bots you speak of? All I've seen ingame are a lot of bad players. Personally bad players don't bother me I learned to stop expecting anything from my team a long time ago for sanity. Confirmation bias is the biggest thing holding players back from improving sad thing is most people don't even realise it.

"Personally bad players don't bother me I learned to stop expecting anything from my team a long time ago for sanity"  and probably one of the reasons you are purple too, you don't rely on the team nor hope for back up...

I used to be just like you, think just like you. Letting go of factors which you can't control will keep you sane with the biggest benefit of allowing to focus on what you can actually influence which is you own performance compelling you to improve/play better.

I am trying to do that, but I'm pre-disposed to being a team player.  However I am having a gradual improvement over time by recognising my actual lack of skill and ability and trying to maximise the effect I can have within my limits.  My best results efforts are when I am feeling "alone"   but not stupid enough to go it alone.

Same here. In fact, that is what makes a game enjoyable for me. I find it is not so much a question of treating your team as garbage, even when it is, but to find ways to get even garbage to perform. Doesn't always work, but in the end you will win more games because of it. Perhaps you won't rock a 3K wn8, but if I were to guess that isn't what motivates you to begin with.
