If I will damage enemy arty with my 120 mm gun will it give more credits than just destroying it while it has 5 hp left?

Most creds are coming in for damage done. A 5 HP frag does not give that many creds, afaik.

I might be mistaken but, doesn't arty give you more xp for dealing damage to it per damage point dealt because it has low HP?

I might just be spewing nonsense...

Edit: Oof, credits... yes dealing more damage gives better credits than a 5 HP kill.

http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Credits

"Payment for inflicting damage to the enemyEdit

For every point of damage inflicted the tank receives Y credits, independent of the tier. For every tier the target is higher than the player, the player receives bonus of 0.1Y credits."

Yes, you get more credits if you do more damage. There is no credit bonus for finishing tanks off.

That really matters because it shows what WG thinks is more important. But how WG proposes gun moe's and almost supports and accepts wn8, you never know how WG evaluates winrate. You know to make a frag is always harder, because any player doesn't want to be destroyed, and simple hp exchange is a part of game. Both damaging for good amount of damage and making frag brings team closer to victory, but how equally?

The big issue with awarding kills is that people will hold in to get that last kill and lose matches over it. Also it allows lower tiers to still get good credits. Lower tiers don't have trouble doing damage while supporting higher tiers, but rarely get the final shot.

Then i argue, most people wont hold kills, because it helps win games, and it gives more experience.

It depends wheter the player needs credits or are grinding a tank/crew.

You can destroy an enemy tank which conquered one of the key positions, after this, it is easier to damage and to destroy other enemies. If you just exchanged yourself,  there could be a difference only if you are low tier to your target.

At least for padding RR it doesn't matter, this question stays the same even for RR - the only skill dependant rating  , which counts only victories.
