I just played a map in top tier O-Ho, that ended in a loss. I was first of the team with more that 2000 DMG, didn't use gold ammo either. Still, match result was negative credits. Not so much that it matters really, but is that really the wot thing? If you lose a game you lose credits no matter how well your game went? Or is it a tier VIII -thing?

The better you play the more credits you get. 2k damage at tier 8 isn´t that much and without premium that isn´t enough to make credits. You also missed 3 shots and did all your damage at 300m + ? (:amazed:).

It's a tier 8, and above, thing. Sometimes you can make a profit depending on many things: ammo cost, hit ratio, enemies go cap and you are left full hp with some damage, etc.

You lose credits even if you won sometimes. It's not f2p that much anymore.

Nothing has changed on what we said earlier in the topic you made 8 hours before this one posting the same image.

11 shots fired, 8 hits and 5 pens. As I suspect your run the 15cm with AP. Thus for every missed shot that does nothing. It's credits lost you won't get back. If you did only fire 5 that did the same damage, you might have broke above even. That and tier 8+ HT's is not cheap on repairs.

Also you don't show which Consumables were used. If you run any "Large" variant on tier 8, then the chance is big that you lose credits indeed without premium.

WG wants to prevent the lower tiers to be abandoned, that's why running high tiers is expensive and you can lose credits. It's always been like that.

Apart from that, is 2K dmg any good with an O-Ho? Just asking

It would seem everyone is missing the obvious:

Most of your damage was at over 300 meters, so possibly on targets you yourself were not spotting. You only get 50% of credits for that.

Besides that, you give no information on ammunition type used, and consumables used. In short, your thread is another pointless, useless one.

Well most did point that out in his first topic. No need to point it out again if it does not stick.

Something about getting only 50% of the experience and credits for the damage you do if someone else is doing the spotting for you.

You did most of your damage from long distance, meaning you did not spot anything you were shooting at, so you get less money for that.

You earn 40% of the original credit and XP reward if you lose

Tier 8 is where you can start to lose credits.
Tier 10 is a credit sink, if you lose to much.

Missed shots cost you!
Especially misses with premium ammo!
If you pen them though?
They are justified & won't cost you as long as you pen with them.

There ways to counteract a loss.
If you can achieve a hero medal during a loss?
Then you will get silver & experience for "courageous resistance"
Next time you get a High caliber, Defender, Tank sniper medal, etc, on a loss check out the results screen.
You will see that you get a bonus for it.

Playing at tier 10 regularly if you do not have a premium account, generally does cost you though.
A tier 8 premium tank is generally the best way to make the credits to fund that.
Though since they messed up the matchmaker, its not so much fun...

If your losing to much, then drop down to lower tiers until your playstyle develops.

Good luck!

It is wargamming trying to force everyone to buy premium account time, it sucks just like wargamming as a company any half respectable company would run a system that was fair after all why should a tank on the wining team that did nothing tried to do nothing still make a profit over a tank on the loosing team that did their best to help win.

Maybe wargamming should try splitting the team into 3 groups of 5 ( after they sort out the crap with the MM ) winners top 5 make great profit mid 5 reasonable profit bottom 5 break even, loosing team top 5 make reasonable profit middle 5 break even bottom 5 loose credits. Not a perfect solution but way better than the crap wargamming have at present.

This is why I'll probably never play tier ten. Without a premium account, at least. You have to be a good player, have a premium account, and preferably have lots of credits to spend on premium ammo.

Winning team gets 185% of the joining a battle credit award, nothing more.

But like I said, you get only 50% for shooting targets you don't spot for yourself, which is exactly what OP did.

Pretty sure that earning rare medals (i.e. Radley/Pool,etc) always yields a bonus of credits (?) and directives. But otherwise, T8-10 will usually be non-profit. You do know that I used to play A-44 with the 57mm right? Well the point is,to upkeep said gun,I had to fire 100k> credits worth of APCR,without premium account.
