So the E 25 got sold again so i decided to take mine out again to try and finally 3 mark it but now i realise why the requirements are so low, It's a situational vehicle and with the new maps it makes it very hard to play traditionally but it is fun to passive scout and outspot most enemy light tanks. That's pretty much the only thing an E 25 can do apart from lategame redlining. The tank just isn't special anymore, I'm not asking for a buff nor a nerf i'm just saying the tank doesn't mix with the current meta at all. It used to be such a monster now 1 in 100 games you will see a good E 25 who knows what he's doing.

Hardly surprising given the all the map changes over past 4 years.  The accuracy was also laser like when it first came out

I think that last sentence says it all. The E25 can still be a monster, but it requires a good driver. Because of its rep, everyone wants to own one, but that doesn't mean they know how to use it.

Map changes are not what killed it for me. As we had more trash corridors map etc when it came out vs now to name one. It's the armor meta. It needs the camo and mobility to relocate to get the side and rear on more targets now vs before. As 150 pen can only get you that far.

So apart from sitting in a bush them that's assuming you can find one that the other players will not already realise where TD's and arty camp, how exactly do you play it?

1.You platoon with two friends also playing e25s.

2. Spot target.

3. Track target.

4. Focus fire all three e25's on a single target.

5. Target melts.

6. Acquire new target.

7. Repeat.

They were only ever extremely funny when in a platoon of three due to the dpm.

Goes off hunting for players with E 25's, lol but thanks anyway.

I was hovering around 88% with 2.5k overall. When it was just resold i thought i would take it out as the OP, just to get the 3rd mark.

i played probably 10-15 games over the past few days with an average combined of (guessing here) 2.1/2.2 overall and i stayed around the same level (88%). So i think to get the 3rd you need about 2.7k combined

Let me play a few this AM and see

ok played 4:

1: 1857 dmg, 598 tracking (highest of the two (tracking, spotted) is only used) = 2455 = MoE +0.65% (ignore this one as it has taken into account the overnight update on averages, hence the inflated + amount

2. 2159 dmg, 103 spot = 2262 = MoE +0.07%

3: 2662 dmg, 437 spot = 3099 = MoE +0.45%

4: 2300 dmg, 485 spot = 2785 = MoE +0.29%

MoE went up from 87.99 to 89.45

For an E25 to work well you need to be closer than most people will be prepared to go

I have owned e25 for years played it over 5000 times, 2 marked it and sat at 92%. Imo it would have taken a near full gold and food setup to get to 3 moe. I have no idea now as I haven't used mine in over 12 months as the power creep started to get out of hand.

The tank isnt op anymore, it started to struggle when the oho/vk/liberte started to appear as it cant reliably pen them.

The light tank mm changes affected it as well, as previously it rarely faced same tier lights, now it can face numerous in one match as well as frequently now meeting other e25s on the opposing team.

Add to that it now faces progettos, more lorr and even the buffed t44 100, higher frequency of skorps and it struggled vs them.

Much like the type59 its reputation is in the past. Time caught up with it.

About 2300.  I've only played it in the last 9 months & never experienced it pre-map changes but it is still a super strong tank that feels unfair sometimes.

The only time you see E25s performing badly is at moments like this, when the game is flooded of them and they step on each others' toes. Other than that, I have seldom seen them ending outside their team's top 3, regardless of the map and battle tier.

I used to be a scout player so I never used to play it in the more standard TD way of hitting head on unless I had to, but I can understand the armour problems in that regard.  However in my opinion the map changes have made it harder to play it in the more active role just as it is more harder to play a scout role. It's not just about corridors.

I think that the last time I took mine out was for a particular mission that required hits. It was perfect, and I think that I may have had a bad first match, but nailed it easily in the second.

Having a variety of vehicles is great for missions, and there is nothing quite like the E25.

My current stats are 196 battles. 55.1% wins. 981 dmg. 1.23 kills/battle. Wn8 1465.

I've got one good battle on WoT Replays, but one of my absolute best (which I didn't upload for some reason) was on Westfield where the speed was key, constantly relocating and travelling over 2km during the battle.

I haven't played it for a while, but I've been playing for some specific grinding and mission objectives and haven't needed it.

I see that you really have got to grips with it, OP. If you're complaining, that gets me worried. :(

Still, I bought mine discounted when they sold it for the last time /sarcasm, and I wouldn't dream of buying it in the current package.

I hope that at least some players took my advice and avoided buying it this time around. Most of us just cannot make it work, and presenting a few unicum stats does not change a thing: The E25 is not a good tank any more, and tbh it lost a lot of its appeal already with the camo nerf on firing that it got not long after it was introduced, iirc.

Yes, it did get hit my power creep. Still a fun and effective tank, just not the monster it might once have been.

Requirements low? You do realize it has the 2nd highest requirements of ALL tier 7s right? Only the 13 57 have higher and its just by a whisker.

It has higher requirements than some tier 8 prems like the Mod1 and alot of other tier 8s.

So I would say its strong as ever.
