Thanks WG for new maps...

 

new Pilsen... the new map is great! large, many passages, something to do for everyone.

 

Minsk... is okay. at least there are things to do for all classes of tanks.

 

Studzianki is in my opinion the least "cool" of the three.

 

I don't know if the maps are balanced, just wanted to say thanks for new maps.

Now, if they could do something about Ensk, Mines and Province that would be great too.

Yep, all new maps are great. But the one i personally hiped for didnt came in that patch..

 

Come on WG, give us Highway back already! :izmena:

New maps is always nice, ty wg.

I just wish they had more hills - as the asians maps had.

Always ready for new/more maps still think you should take maps you think are unbalanced or want to work on and move them to a special list then add a tab like you have for Encounter assault.  There really isnt a reason I can think of for maps like Dragons ridge Hidden Village and others to be set so if a player accepts the imbalances or problems to play on them

While new maps - studzianki, minsk - look visually good, gameplay on them isn't. For me, it looks like that WG didnt even have idea how these maps would be played. With old maps, I think they made some plan while working on them, about how the maps will be played, where can different tank classes go, ... With with these two new maps? I think they had no plan, no idea whatsoever. I mean, who really cares if map looks visually good in a game like WoT, if the gameplay of that map is just baaaad. And its not only these two new 1.1 maps. What about older Paris, or new Erlenberg? I have negative feedback towards WG map developers.

What was that winter map other than Mountain pass and the mannerhiem thing, that needs to come back

I like them for now, but i need to play them more. I mean i haven't even seen one side of Pilsen yet (although its a massive improvement over the old one). Studizanki i dislike the open field at the bottom since its rather useless and advancing any flank means you run into TD's camping at the red line which are a pain in the [edited]to dig out. Still all three are better than Mines, Paris and all the shitty maps (for now), since they offer at least some flanking opportunities.

 

One of the better things is though that lights have something to do on all three maps.

It's still too early to say, but my initial feeling is that WG have done an excellent job on the new (and renewed) maps. We'll only really know when the meta stabilises for a bit, but for now they all seem good.

 

I have some doubts about Minsk with the abundance of hard hull down cover, potentially making the map a pixel sniping camp fest, but other than that I haven't really found anything to complain about yet. The Polish map might be the best map they released in ages.

I kinda like Studianki, seems to be a fairly good map for all vehicle types, might be a bit too TD-friendly, but I can live with it. I think Pilsen is ok now and I haven't played Minsk enough to have an opinion. All in all good addition, time to remove Paris for rework, WG.

i played pilsen twice and i can only say that it is worse than before

Windstorm. The map was ok, not my favorite but ok. Not sure why they removed it.

Studzianki is an amazing map IMO. There is something to do for All classes.

 

Minsk is meh, to much hulldown action.

 

Pilsen is Pilsen...not great or bad. Just glad its not Paris abomination.

How is it worse? Its basically the same map with more spacing, it seems a lot better to me far more all class friendly.

 

Ive enjoyed all the new maps, they are far less corridor based ( minsk might be bad at t10 perhaps ). My only quibble is im not getting them frequently enough.

I agree, swamp was pretty good. Towards the end people even started to somewhat learn how to play it (i.e. north spawn mostly gave up on suicide pushes to the castle), which made the games in it quite balanced and fun.
