OK here we go, form tier 8 upwards.........

Germany has the Maubrecher and the VK1000.01P ranged against the O-HO

Tier 9

Mauschen vs the Type 4

Tier 10

Maus vs the Type 5

As super heavies go, which are the best, and out of all of them wasn't it only the Maus which actually existed IRL?

Germans are better. O-Ho gets penned by everyone if you know where to hit. Type 4 is the same garbage. Gun has even less actual DPM than O-Ho. Armor doesnt work either. Type 5 has decent armor. Almost impenetrable to standard rounds but once those 340 mm HEAT shells start flying people dont even need to aim. Just auto aim and shoot. Maus is a lot better

But the fact it was built;t even if it never saw action, it existed only as a prototype is enough for me if you go down the historical history road, I did have a sneaky feeling that the Germans are more efficient, in game I actually got rid of my O-HO, might even do the same with the type 4, not sure yet, the grind was a long one to that one so I am reluctant.

Neither Maus were past initial prototype stage, one was used for automotive testing but I don't think the second ever moved under it's own power, and it seems neither were ever armed.

at tier 9 germany also have E75 and VKb as superheavys and at tier 10 E100 and Pz7 are still superheavys too.

Type 4/5 had a turret built for it so they're not completely unhistorical, however the hulls that we have in game for them are WG fabrications.

As for your main question:
Mauschen > Type 4
Maus >>>>>> 14cm Type 5
Maus > Type 5 15cm standard HE
15cm premium HE Type 5 > Maus

The problem with many prototypes and many of the toilet paper designs and some real tanks too is that all the flaws of those tanks never make it into the game. They seem to be OP on paper but what use are they when they break apart before they get out of the factory or are so cramped you ask yourself how the crews are able to perform well in them or if they actually fit into the tank in one piece. Many designs were also scrapped because they didn't really offer any advantage over the design it was supposed to replace.
