so far i've experience shells that travel so slow they must be defying gravity to stay airborne, a ridiculously big soft target with no HP to back it up, and accuracy that can only be compared to a blind guy firing a shotgun using feathers at a target 300+ meters away...

so it seems to be pretty crap ATM, any way to go about playing though this without free xp, cause its kinda.... bad

The 25TP with top gun is ok'ish. Turret can trollbounce, gundepression is good, 135 pen and dmg with 0.38 acc is workable. The high shell velocity of the top gun is a plus.

I agree that the second gun has awful shell velocity.

Ugh... 385 m/s with AP on the 75mm wz. 1897 ... 308 m/s with HEAT... didn't see that this was so bad... even the KV-2 has 525 m/s

I must say I’m almost certain a 40TP has never penetrated my black prince. I’m a bit wary of ever going up that line.

I actually like it as a support med. It's fairly agile and it can hit stuff slow shell speed aside. Unlike other tier 5 meds that have shell speed. But can't hit the broadside of a barn... parked inside it.

25TP - easly worst Tier V tank I've had the "pleasure" of driving. Makes the Maltida IV and Matilda Black Prince look decent.

But tier for tier, what awaits you at Tier VI is worst. At least the 25TP is fast enough to get you to a cliff quick enough so that you can throw yourself from it, rather then having to see the enemies just laughing at you for driving it into battle. The 40TP fails miserably at that department. The grind reminds me of the T-150, but you lack the armor and the gun selection. Would even argue that this 135/135 gun that comes with the 25TP, is worst then the 57mm on the T-150 or the 122mm derp baby.

That's a nice way to introduce yourself to the Polish tech tree - by meeting the worst two tanks in their tiers, one after the other. I don't know what's below Tier V and I don't know what's ahead of Tier VI. I've seen the Tier X in battle and it doesn't strike me as something special. Lower plate made of swiss cheese and a derpy gun. I think the 705A should feel better.

25tp Is quite ok. I even like it and keep it.
However the tier 6 40tp is the worst tier 6 I've ever had and surely within 5 of the worst tanks in game.

Tier 7 is not that bad but only mediocre...

Tier 8 is only good with top gun and workable IF NOT for the horrible tier 8mm. Also had a 1500raw xp game that only gave me first class but guess only the best of the best players play it currently and only some few...

Tier 9 I'll get tomorrow and having some hope for it. Happy leaving tier 8 mm behind me. To bad there was no Frontline available...

So far maybe the worst tech tree in the game and a big disappointment...

- tier 4 - currently playing it(free eq is free eq). I usually skip tier 4 - I'm playing it now because to do both missions you need at least tier 4. So I don't know if it's the worst tier 4, but it seems like a strong contender.

the pom pom pens from time to time(generously assuming it hits something in the 1st place), the top gun just seems horrid. Also, it's a light that can't spot crap.

- tier 5; watched circon playing it the other day. Man, that was fun. I almost felt bad for the poor guy :))) He didn't hit anything with some 4 skills crew and food.

- tier 6 - everyone says it's worse than 5...

honestly - didn't free xp to tier 5 because I see no reason whatsoever to go on this tree. Ok, tier 9 seems fine on paper. I don't complain we don't get another 268 v4. But really...  the line seems like a bad joke.

p.s. - we're not talking about "hidden gems"(the polite way of saying a tank *ucks, but not as bad as ppl. say). No, no; this line seems to thoroughly *uck.

I too felt it was an awful tank. That was before I got to tier 6... I have 3,5 skill crew from Pudel, using rations and all modules upgraded. It can only help team when top tier or in late game tier 7 matches picking off wounded tanks. Gun accuracy combined with bad armor makes it possible to play the tank only in medium distance and hoping players on the opposing team are worse than you. In tier 8 games you are 2-shot pinãta and the trollish gun makes it nigh impossible to hurt heavy tanks.

On the other hand 40TP definitely makes you a better player. Every mistake costs you badly and map position is key to make any use of the tank. With bad team there is hardly any carry potential.

So enjoy the tier 5 while you still can :great:

Support Med is accurate, it should be carrying medical supplies, rations and spare parts. The 40TP ain't no improvement either.

leggasiini said somewhere else;

"Tier 5 (25TP) is solid but frustrating, its big ans gun handling is beyond ebola, even for its tier.

Tier 6 (40TP) is a giant piece of crap, worst tier 6 MT by far and one of the worst tanks in the entire tier. Wtf is that mobility, its like tier 6 AMX 65t

Tier 7 (45TP) is a shitty T29 that is faster but its playable

Tier 8 (53TP) is great, its fast and gun is very good. Armor is mediocre but it can bounce stuff and turret works

Tier 9 (50TP) feels more or less like the premium but at tier 9. Gun is potato but damn it hits hard"

The 25 tp is good tank like it should no op stats on it.

just a average tank

My winrate in it is not that good...but blame that more on the shitty top tiers in my team than the tank.

Well up to tier 6 is like pulling fingernails...

Tier 7 - I actually love, dunno why people say it is a shitty t29 or a meh heavy.  For me, deffo a keeper.

Tier 8 - so far gotta say it is also super fun, armor is not that great but overall a great performer.

It's quite a lot stronger than the 705A, actually; it's just not as retardproof as other slow-ish heavies because it actually has weakspots. It has a much better gun than the 705A - and for 750 alpha, it isn't even that derpy, it handles well and it has surprisingly good accuracy. It also has way better turret placement, more HP and much better gun depression as well. 705A's LFP isn't better but it still isn't very good, either, and it's also easier to hit. 705A is a bit faster and sidescrapes better, but thats about ii. The 60TP is more versatile and a lot stronger is most scenarios. Oh and because of the turret placement, better depression and way less frustrating gun (and more satisfying cus more alpha) it's also a lot more fun to play than the 705A.

That's what WG said but it isn't exactly true. It doesn't really feel like an IS-4 in terms of performance nor playstyle - it's more like if Super Conq + E 100 had a child rather than if IS-4 and E 100 had a child.

-----------------

As for the 25TP, it has an edge by being significantly faster than stuff like Chi-Nu or Strv m/42. Gun is however extremely derpy because gun handling is beyond awful even for it's tier. You basically have to snipe with it - it can't really play aggressively at all. It aims forever and when it is still aiming it dies because its too big. Accuracy is ehh but at least the pen is good and shell velocity is decent. It's overall pretty ehh just like some other similar tier 5 MTs but if it just had better gun handling it would be much better.
