Why is it the Object 263 feels like a massive downgrade from the SU101

Both tanks are fully upgraded 100% Crew

Obj 263 is generally a bigger target compared to SU 101 which of course includes a bigger weak spot, so you need to pick your positions carefully. Obj 263 has a big LFP and enemies will have absolutely no problem hitting it at medium to close range, plus you need to take into consideration that when you go up a tier you'll face enemies with better crews, with equipment and tanks with generally better gun handling.

On the flip side the strong parts of 263 armor are massively better compared to 101 and you can reliably bounce premium shells.

ok fine but as far as facing higher tier tanks thats not true because 70% of my games in the su101 are tier 10 games with the current MM i dont complain as its more HP to take so your basically saying the tank is worse because of LFP witch i have not had any problems with so that still hasn't really helped also i find im bouncing more shells in the su101 everyone seems to go through the lower Hull in the OBj even with standard rounds no idea why the tanks feels like its been nerfed and isnt true to what the stats say

Object 263 is amazing tank. It's better than Version 4. You must not play it right. Play it like Heavy Tank support and it works.

You must play a bit more far back behind the heavys. And you must try to find some cover for the lower plate. If you cover that plate, you are good to go. If you have good crew, you can also try sniping. It works...sometimes. Or maybe it's just not your tank.

Ram the fawk out of your enemies. attack, Attack, ATTACK!!!! always!! the best way to hide your lower frontplate is by hugging the enemy front. The only problem is your really bad traverse, so keep in mind, that you should always have teammates behind you. Or else, if they flank you, you are ded!

I agree, go to the same places as heavy tanks, but it is second line support until choosing to CHARGE! :izmena:

Nobody wants an Obj 263 in their face, and it's an exciting tank to play but aggression needs to be timed well and carried through, finding yourself floundering isn't good. I think the SU-101 is something else, it is primarily sniper that roams the map, it can ram and can go face to face, but as a last resort. Both tanks need clutch breaking to increase traverse speed.

Interesting subject not sure if positive or not, both tier 9 TD's I am after are the 233 and the T30, i heard the T30 is not the beast that it seems, and with the 263, i though you were meant to play it in the 264 play style, and go charging in blasting the crap out of anyone who gets in your way?

What is the correct way to play this entire line up form tier 7 upwards?

With regards to the T30, do you play that like a regular heavy?
