You really don't! :)

  • Tier 8 premiums are in bad shape now because of the MM, tier 8 mediums are even worse.
  • During the 2nd half of September, there will be a marathon for a free british tier 8 premium heavy which is the Caernarvon AX.

I got it and its really nothing to write home about.

The standard Cent is pretty similar

I would avoid buying any tier 8 med

It's a solid tank. Gun is a bit derpy but overall it is a nice tank to drive around, even when you get into bottom tier MM.
Try and get Caernarvon AX  later this month and you might not need the RAAC.

Minus the much stronger hull armor. thats 120 hull using 10 gundep is 250+ effective. on a medium tank at tier 8!. id dare say the RAAC is one of the best mediums in tier 8. only thing that lets it down its the trashy gun stats and poor dpm + alpha, but at least it gets pen/accuracy (aimtime sucks)

Normal Cent and Primo suck in comparison.

While I understand the sentiment, buying the RAAC sends the wrong message to WG. It sends the message it's ok to release better versions of tech tree tanks and even premium tanks that came out less then a year ago.

If you buy tanks like the RAAC you are actively helping the overall decline of this game along, do you want that responsibility on your shoulders?

I was gifted the Primo, after I gifted a guy the new cent, (thats just how we roll) I have to say I love both of them, as for crew feedback, the PV has to be the most hilarious.

Oh come on Cobra, you cannot get away with that one, you just cannot put blame on someones shoulders, I recently got rid of my O-HO, but if WG released a premium version with sloped armour, no silly twin turrets to get in the way and a laser like Derp gun I would buy it in a heartbeat, as would most others, same goes for the Defender and Chrysler K, both tank with their serious flaws, in fact after those two I think i would have run out of premiums I would want to buy.

For all their supposed OP'ness, every single one of them can be taken down.

Also thanks for the replays, and i am aware of the carn ax marathon which in am plannonp to accomplish. ;)

Of course I can since I'm not buying them, if I did then it would be hypocritical. :)

I don't want to be personally responsible for adding to an ever growing problem in this game and neither should you.

Defender, serious flaws?  Really?

Chrysler was overhyped, it's rear turreted with a bad gun, but I don't see what downsides the Defender has apart from being overpriced.

Incredible. WG must have been reading this post.

I bought it first time around. I love it. The vehicle modelling is great, looks fantastic and I think it plays really well.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Atrocious gun handling even by soviet standards and mediocre mobility compared to the IS3.

Comparing it to the best all-round heavy tank of the tier and then saying it's slightly worse in *one* department does little to aid your point.

Compare it to the Tiger 2, the 110, the T32 or the legion of other "normal" tanks on tier 8 if you want to make a comparison.

Oddly enough one guy wished for the SU-85i yesterday too. And one wanted codes for it. Before that, we had a guy wishing for CDA and it came the next day. Makes you wonder.

How about comparing it to the Lowe? Correct me if I am wrong but good players in the Lowe will easily see off a Defender, just as they will in an IS3, as for personal responsibility, the only ones who should have that is WG themselves, and with the amount of supposedly OP tanks in the game now, one more is not going to make a blind bit of difference.

If a tank looks good there should be no problem buying it, the new cent is a good tank, even the PV is a good tank, one both of which are my go to t8 medium tanks, I love them in a way that I wish I could love my Lorraine 40T and my Super Pershing, a tank which i am severely tempted to sel but for some odd reason i keep trying to persevere with.

The leafblower caused an up roar when it was sold, battle fields would be swamped with them, I don't see than many in games tbh, same goes with the E 25, not that many in game.
