I'm normally neutral.

If WG do something good - I tend to pat them on the back

If WG do something s**t - I tend to say it's a bit s**t

I do think that 3/5/7 is in place because WG wants to make money off gold spam, but tbh I don't mind as much as most vocal members. Remember there are only 3 of the top tier. The idea is match top vs. top and support where possible - more tactical, and you are not always lowest tier.

However - I have noticed a trend. Enable an XP boost - and I personally find that the amount of time you are lowest tier goes up exponentially.

Am I just unlucky - or does anyone else face this? Would like to garner opinions rather than base it solely on my experience.

Talking specifically about XP boosts, not credit/crew ones. I have a nagging doubt that WG have some algo in the background f***ing us up just a little. Wouldn't mind so much - but they are insistent on selling tanks with boost bundles that we have to pay up for. Not worth as much if you spend an inordinate amount of time lowest tier.

Serious answer: there's no such thing.

I run boosters all the time but recently as I've been playing in another account.

It's a seasonal thing. New events bring back new blood and old users. Some are good, some ain't. I understand where you're coming from, it's logical but there is no such rigging. It's just "random".

Simple, cognitive bias.  Seeing data you want to see.  We all do it.  Just being aware it occurs can alter how you think about an issue.

It's a known fact among the general chat people. They always say the same thing 'enable boosters = lose'.

Well had boosters on last week 53% winrate for the week.

This week 0 boosters......3 days of horror 37%, 27% and 40% win rate last 3 days.

So in 3 days they screw your winrate.

Played all tiers all kinds of tanks..sometimes 7-0 ahead in the battle but the muppets got to make sure we lose....

Before 3-5-7 you could be the only -2 tier in a battle. At least now you only get a guaranteed maximum of 3 top tiers which isn't that bad. The bad thing was that they effed up mm priorities and ofc there is also the powercreep that shows how unbalanced a +2 tier tank is in a 3-5-7 is....sometimes even +1 tiers in 5-10 battles. It got better but still needs a lot of improving.

And as already mentioned above: "bias".

I would say it wasn't down to the boosters OP. I run them often and find I have days when I'm bottom tier all the time and other days not so much. Out of curiosity what tiers are you playing at? I find I'm bottom tier most of the time when playing tier 6 and 8. Maybe it's that?

Dunno, could be just imagination but I have also noticed getting fucked with reserves on. Also, lets not forget to mention that WG made a multiplayer team game that punishes you for being a part of the team (platoon MM weight)

A penny for every time we had a topic like this. As if MM doesn't work 100% for something when they use anything. WG is rigging it.

Yes, I've had bad runs or bad MM when I've used personal reserves. Just as I have without using it. But I've also had the best streaks when using it.... as I've had when I have not used it. They don't only come when I activate it.

Then again... when I play some tanks with personal reserves. I want +2 games. As you don't get good XP playing vs lower tiers all day. As in when I play meds and lights that can wolfpack and bully flank well etc. And then I don't get it, and only get -2 with meh xp. Is that rigging too?

I did mention I’d rather get some other opinion - so yes probably bias. If I get a good streak when on boosters, probably doesn’t even register - but a bad streak sticks out.

No stats - after the first few battles kept watching for it and it kept happening, but couldn’t be confident of saying that for previous times. So just a moan really

This - I play with boosters on every night, and I'm universally rubbish/ universally get shat on (take your pick)

Could it be you're paying more attention to losses when using boosters? Or to make most use of them, play a little more aggressive/sloppy than you usually do?

This is something i tend to do when activating boosters. trying to maximize the gain, so i play more aggressive. And that can sometimes turn very bad very quick. Hence I only activate them when I'm either in the right mood, or when a big crew XP bonus event is running, as then a failure hurts alot less.

If only there would be a tool that would allow one to analyse the replays in the replay folder.... hmmm...

Just feels that way. If you play and are having a run of wins you think "Damn should have activated boosters". But when you activate boosters and have a bad run it just feels as if it's jinxed.

"YAY X5 exp weekend" and every tom, [edited]and bot plays and you hit a run loss, "Damn WG are rigging it again". Just the way it feels, not actually how it happens.

When the smile fades, hit exit game.

Yeah, sounds familiar. I rarely have more than two boosters at the same time anymore, usually just one. There is definitely less pressure to make things happen and if playing isn't fun, it doesn't feel like a waste to take a break.
