OK, I play mostly tier 8 and 9, and rarely tier 10 beacuse tier X usually is all X's and it's hard against those OP Russian tanks.

But I have serious problem playing with my FV215b (183). Yesterday I decided to take it for a spin, and I got Studzianki. I was moving with the rest of the team on the left, got spotted in 20 second and vaporized withing the first 30 seconds of the game. The tank don't have the armor of Jg.Pz. E100 to be able to survive that.

I want to play it more to train my British crew, but the last 4 battles in it I managed to make only 1 shot (for a bout 500-700 damage) and then get destroyed.

What you will recommend? Should I play it with the regular 310 AP? Use gold?

Any advice or helpful videos are welcomed.

The 183 is just bad these days, especially after the FV4005 buffs, it's too slow and the armour is basically non-existent, WG basically nerfed it when it went into HD as it used to have a very good turret but it's way worse.

Obviously a tank with 1750 alpha is just bad anyway because it's extreme balancing, but the 183 is extra bad and the FV4005 with it's mobility, gun handling and gun depression is just a lot more flexible and usable, as basically both tanks have to take shots at range against unsuspecting targets and the FV is too slow, too unagile for that generally.

I took mine out yesterday for my last match and to just have some fun.  I use half HESH and half AP.  Yesterday I only shot HESH, shot eight rounds fully aimed at targets that were stationary or hardly moving, and missed eight times.  It really is such a disappointment, and I ground through the unbuffed AT line to get it too

Good thing i went glass cannon. FV at least has the mobility to move where it's needed....or to run away.
As to crew training....you shouldn't be training crews in tier 10 unless you already have at least 3 skills. Having less is gimping the tank which you have to replace with player skill. AP just isn't as good as it seems against those russian turrets. I'd rather deal a few hundred damage and a few crits than waste the reload for a bounce. AP us still ok on paper targets though.

The biggest issue I have with it is the lack of gun depression, compared to the FV4005. The turret armor would actually work if it could use more gun depression.

That, and the gun handling is abysmal.

Yeah, my biggest problem (and huge mistake) was to use my free exp to unlock it and that way I end it up half-[edited]crew. Huge mistake to have Tier X with crew on 1 skill.
