Hello guys! I have a question: What tank to use for HT-15 missions? What would you recommend me? I tried to do it with E-100, E75, Type 4 Happy, Obj. 257, but with no succes. I know that this depends on everyone's playstyle, but I need a tank who will resist, even at gold ammo :justwait:. I'm looking for Kranvagn now(because has near impenetrable turret; hulldown playstyle in almost all maps), IS-7(well angled armor plates and turret, faster and low profile), and maybe the old Maus('cause it's a classic and maybe the most capable, but it's too slow, and what I will do on open maps with three enemy artys? Nothing!) So I'm waiting for your advice. Thanks in advance!

Did both of those with Pz. VII : http://wotreplays.eu...ky1-pz_kpfw_vii

IS-7 is a good choice, try with that.

Nobody is dumb enough to shoot at the swedish heavies' turrets anymore.

The entire Maus line from tier 8 up is perfectly suited for the job. They can bounce premium ammo all day long once angled correctly, if they're top tier.

Type 4 armor is butter...

I did mine in Maus, but alas the premium spam is real.

These days you gotta be more than just lucky, to find and enemy team of muppets, that is still good enough not to die to fast. While still slinging AP at your angles.

Type 5, Pz VII and Maus are good.

The VK B at tier 9 is good also

Thank you very much, guys! I had a bad experience with Type 4 Heavy because of spamming of gold ammo continuously, ammo racked so often when they shot in your sideways. Anyway, Type 5 looks a little bit better, but I played it on test server some time ago and... Still no so good, at least for my playstyle. I mean, like the E-100, when you turn your front part of the turret at the 90 degrees to the enemy, to shot them, they pen you very easy with cold, and that's a little bit frustrating.:sceptic: I think that I will go with the IS-7, because of the reasons mentioned by me in the first post.:izmena: Thank you for your time spent here! :honoring:

Not just the premium spam - as soon as I started sidescraping just now in my IS-M, they all started spamming HE at me... Wonderful missions, WG!

Maus, drive the middle road and get spotted. People will hope to pen you, they will fail if you position yourself good.

In my case I went back to the earlier campaign and completed HT-15 with honours for one of them.  Dead easy to do HT-15 for Stug IV and HTC  with (say) a MAUS and then you use the order widget to buy that last mission for T55A.  Easy also to address the other missions.

I am not sure there is a 'best', certainly it being tier 10 is probably the best as they have the most HP to lose, will face the most HP to get in damage and the biggest guns to bounce.

But it is basically a very very good game in a tier 10 heavy, a Maus might bounce more and have more HP to lose, but then a Super Conqueror might do more damage and an 5A is faster so is able to get the clean up damage.

Personally I did it for the 260 in the 113 and did 8k damage and blocked about 5k and the rest was in hit points.

I did an 8k game the other day in the E75 which would have completed the mission for the T-55A.

You...you blocked 8k damage...with E75?

First thing that comes to my mind is the Type 5, which is also why I'm grinding it at the moment. I agree that the Object 260 should not be that easy to get for everyone but some of these missions just encourage bad gameplay. How many scouts have I seen dying because they needed 'X' amount of spots. How many mediums have I seen yolo-ing big TD's... How many heavys have I seen farmed by arty whilst sidescraping trying to get those blocking missions.

Is it just me or are these heavy tank missions by far the most difficult in the 260 campaign? I finished the LT missions and almost done with TD, MT and SPG missions but those HT ones... only 4/15 done or something.

You...you blocked 8k damage...with E75?

That's not the way the mission worked.  It relies on a combination of:

Damage blocked;
Damage done; and

Damage received.

So a high tier well armoured tank with good armour, lots of HP and able to do damage is required.  Block a lot, do a lot of damage and take a lot of damage and you're doing the mission.

Still an 8k combined game in the E-75 is impressive. I think I managed it in my VK4592 B but that was before it was nerfed.
