agreed, there needs to be a checkbox in settings to turn them off.

Soon enough you'll get the option to purchase a premium tank you don't own in the Killcam.

+1

WG you want to do something good for a change?

Let the players select tanks/equipment/premium time/ect. and place them on wishlist. Then notify players when staff they pick is on offer.

Or let us turn off the notifications.

WG marketing guy 1: "We can choose between informing our players about the weekend event that already started, or we can inform our players about the six new premiums that we have released in the last month. What should we do?"

*Awkward silence for 5 seconds, followed by massive laughter."

WG marketing guy 2 (Crying): "Oh, marketing guy 1, you are hilarious. I can't breathe anymore!"

WG marketing guy 1: "I know, I almost couldn't keep a straight face saying it!"

What you have to remember is most marketing guys dont give a dam about the company's long term success - in a year or two(maybe months) they will be off somewhere else for a bigger pay packet - so all they care is next months bonus - which is why we get stupid moves like selling IP tanks and armour buffs that make short term profits but dont fuel the long term future of the game.  These adds are the perfect example - piss off 90% + of your community just to get a few more sales, which you could probably have got in a less obtrusive manner anyway.....

If they put up an ad for free gold this forum would be full of complaints. I mean, all this fuss over a single pop up when you first load the game. That one click of a mouse button to close the pop up is just too much isnt it?

Soon we will have ads in the middle of the battle just like those ads that run when you watch some random video on YT.

What’s going to happen is that turning off ads is a premium account feature only

The ads are a constant will power check.

They remind you of WG business practices and how they love selling gold inflated rare tank bundles and until *edited* got too much they were fully willing to sell you Pref MM tanks with Russian Refunds.

Stay strong :honoring:

Erm... can we have ads on our tanks for a modest cut?

I think that would bring about a renaissance for the Toasters!

I got a Black ops 4 add in-game when I played Starcraft 2 just now..... Blizzard def takes the cake over this.

Tho joking aside. It can't be that hard to add filter settings for it so we don't get notifications for tanks we already own. I want the patch notes etc. But I don't care much for the rest.

The people who pay money for a premium account would more likely be their target tho. No one is safe. :hiding:

It isn't that one, it's the ones that pop up after battles on the bottom left of the garage now. It's a minor complaint, but it is a bit annoying to get repeatedly spammed with crappy offers.

Havent noticed any after the battle. I only get one when I load the game and go into the garage for the first time.

They pop up as a sort of notification. It's a bit silly. First you get the one when you log in, which is fine, it's handy to see the specials etc. But then having random pop ups tell you again that "WOW t-34-3 IS ON SALE!!!!" then two battles later "OKAY DON'T LIKE THAT, HOW ABOUT A LÖWE BUNDLE!!!" is just annoying.
