Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if these devices of Apple can run World of Tanks perfectly.

What is the performance with the follow specifications?

  • 2.2GHz 6‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz.
  • Radeon Pro 560X with 4GB of GDDR5 memory.
  • 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 memory.

My bests of regards,

Zahleramovskyy

Implying Mac is for gaming. Frankly, barely anyone uses it for it's intended purpose.

Graphics card is somewhat underpowered, so depending on resolution you'll have to turn down details a little or a lot. Assuming you're running Windows on that hardware, no clue what impact OS X might have (or if it runs at all).

There is indeed a massive MAC thread on this forums about just this.

Jsut a shame Mac's always have these semi-budget AMD cards instead of NVIDIA ones.

Mac, the workstation without being able to use CUDA which is supported by tons of applications XD

I've ran WoT on a 2011 macbook pro for years, while it's not ideal, it worked okay. After that I ran WoT on a hackintosh for a while, worked fine. With the specs you should be able to run it just fine, the wrapper takes some performance, but it isn't terrible.

And to all the HURRRDURRR MAC'S CAN'T GAME crowd, if you have nothing intelligent to add, it's often better to keep your mouth closed.

I have both a gaming PC and an iMac(2012j, and I can play WoT on both of them.

I prefer to play on the PC as I buit that specifically for games, SSD etc, and if I am totally honest, the Mac performance, while acceptable, does lack the ability to use higher graphic settings compared to the PC, and the intial battle loading is slower.

The advantage I have is, with a 2nd accout, I can set up my own training room to explore new maps etc.

Should be able to get it running in wine.

I could on Linux.

Performance in WoT should be fine with those specs

Regarding OP's question, run Windows in bootcamp rather than the wrapper, you'll have a much better experience, not only overall but you also won't have to wait around after every patch for a third-party dev to fix the wrapper which at times can take quite a while and be far from perfect. With that spec you'll most likely have a decent experience but your GPU and Apples inability to cool stuff will be your bottleneck so don't expect putting everything on high/ultra but rather a custom profile with most stuff more towards medium, also a laptop cooling pad would be to recommend.
