1. Three arty per side .. really

2. No Army commander would ever / ever / ever put artillery in a town 

3. A tier 8 in the same game as a tier 10 

4. Rotation of new maps .. ( a full day of game play and only Pilsen makes an appearance  .. you screwed the map rotation up 

5. Tier 10 should only be Grand battles.

6. You had a game mode called " Frontline " and then removed it .. you are morons

7. Team balance - lol .. woefully wrong most of the time

8. You have become boring

Normally, I'd refrain from comments that add nothing of quality to the topic, but some of these makes my mind beg me to type it out: Where have you gone wrong?

  1. Would you rather have 3 TDs instead of those SPGs that can actually pen you 8/10 for their average damage? I know I wouldn't.
  2. We have none of those in WoT, sadly.
  3. And? More exp to farm off useless HT drivers.
  4. At least you get Pilsen. Some of us only see Ensk.

  6. Agreed. Though they already said numerous times it will be back as soon as the optimization on low spec potatoes is dealt with. Shouldn't take long.

You people need to stop believing Frontline will be the same when it returns. It will be a credit sucking p2w imitation of what it was. But "optmised", so hurray.

I mean, I wouldn't mind it even if I lost credits for it since it was just kinda a fun change of pace from randoms. I certainly wouldn't play it as much as when it originally ran if I regularly lose credits playing it, but I'd still play it every now and then just because it's something different and rather enjoyable, especially since (and to be fair, I do feel a bit bad about it) I don't care as much about winning in it.

I didnt even enjoy frontline.
Individual actions felt like they had no significant effect on the outcome:

Defend two turrets almost perfectly,  turrets up to 2-3 minutes drive away fall and you lose.

Make a push up a flank. Dead tanks respawn and you are no longer on a cleared flank but exposed to players coming from directions that were previously clear.

F* arty consumables

Honestly that was the only thing I really disliked with FL. Both of them were just ridiculous, especially when it came to defending points. All you had to do was play arta with them and hope you got A Point, or relocate there from B (C Felt too away to really bother, even with the Lorraine) and you were guaranteed General every game. :teethhappy:

Yeah well... I suspect many do agree. Then again having less means having arty in every single game. Vs an arty free game now and then. But most would still take that too.

Nor would any commander put a sluggish armored turretless beast on an open map. Then again this is an arcade game, not a tank sim or real life military.

Some tier 8's would agree with you. As they can't even pen a tier 8 super heavy in a pure tier 8 game. But other tier 8's I have don't mind +2 if it means more HP to farm. Like my CDA 105. You can say I want it on some, but not on others atm.

I've seen Ensk and the new Polish map a few times each day since the patch. More then Pilsen. So for me it works too well.

FL was a test. Not a permanent mode. They pulled it back to sort issues and put it back later, perhaps on other tiers. As with one map 24/7 and with all the flaws it had. I suspect most would have gotten bored of it by now. I got sick of it after 7 days, even considering I made 30 million credits on it. And considering how long WG do spend on a fresh map. A FL map will take longer. So I don't mind it in short burst now and then. Tho I know ofc others disagree. And I suspect even less would care if it was for tier X when it came the first time. As in no premium income.

Maybe its hard to believe but some of us loved Frontline for big open map and the fact that you could make even most powercreeped tier 8 tanks actually work there.

I agree though, and that is as an arty player, that three to a team is a bit overkill, limit it to tww at most but let them 'toon' with each other.

 

 

What is grand battles anyway?

Lots of people loved it mate (although I found it a bit boring and only played a handful of games). All I am saying is that if you did enjoy it, you won't enjoy it as much when (if) it comes back. WG will do something to suck the profit out of it, probably in a way that will leave you feeling a bit sad.

The downside was, it required teamwork...something this playerbase is almost entirely incapable of. :trollface:
