Morning guys,

 

Some of the upcoming changes in patch 1.2:

 

        1. Maps

 

  • Empire's border: tiers IV-X
  • Widepark: tiers IV-VI
  • Highway: tiers IV-X

 

Balance changes are made to the following maps:

 

  • Overlord
  • Sand river
  • Paris
  • Ruinberg
  • Redshire

 

        2. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

 

  • Artificial intelligence will control tanks from tier I to V. These bots will only be on certain maps. You can easily recognize a bot in battle: at the beginning and end of the nickname there will be a colon sign, and next to the nickname - a special badge.

 

  • The number and tanks controlled by the AI ​​in each team will always be the same. So none of the teams will be in a more advantageous position. The number of machines in a team controlled by AI will be limited.

          3. Changes in Personal Missions

 

  • For personal missions 3rd Campaign, operation Object 279 (p), a new "Pause" button appears. It allows you to pause the task, after which progress will not be taken into account until the player resumes the task. This will allow players to keep their progress if they want to take a rest from these tasks.
  • Finalization of award-winning screen.

 

          4. Other

 

 

  • Added rewards for the Global map and the 10th season in particular.
  • Redesigned the exit menu from the game.

 

Not sure if they're adding these bots on the EU or RU servers in the upcoming patch but they need them for:

 

  • LATM server
  • Testing PVE contents.

 

Gotta love bots man, more bots please WG! :)

Patch notes are already up on NA. There they explained that it was added with the South American server in mind. As tier 1 to 3 there is mostly 5 vs 5 or even 2 vs 2 for most of the day. They also noted that bots are activated when you get a min 3 players pr team. So same as WOWP. 

 

Edit: Nope. NA said it's not going to appear on EU or RU or NA. It's only for NA's LATAM cluster and considered for the Austrailian server. So no bots here.

I've been working all day. Now it's time to play... That and I'm keeping an eye on the US Hurricane via MSNBC. As I got relatives where it's about to make landfall.

Could also be used on the EU server to make newbie protection work.

Indeed. As in new accounts gets that more so then 20K players. Like the game had once. Tho ofc it could be exploited by alt accounts. But even so. It was for anyone under 2500 when they had it before? So around the same or so again could make less players leave sooner. And ofc... not count Ace badges for it so that we don't break tier 1 aces again like we did with the proving ground bots.

Wonder what balance changes can be made to Sand river, one of my least favourite maps, although Minsk trumps it just a bit more than province.

Oh they are far inland atm. They were moved to Nashville last I heard. But their house in North Carolina is still there to name one. That currently has 110 km/h wind speeds. But others are still there that are not relatives still. So let's hope they manage to stay more safe.

Also have family where the Typhoon hits the Philippines. I am confident that they are not stupid enough to go out of the house during that time plus they are deep inside Manila. Still worrying though.

Very interesting..... this could mean a few things

- there are less players at lower tiers, WG feels it needs to fill in for lack of new players joining the game?

- may be more lower tier matches, spreading the lower tier player base more. Not sure what impact this will have on tier 7-8, if tier 7 ends up top tier more often, does that mean tier 8 will end up being top tier even less than now?

- seal clubbing at lower tiers will take a whole new dimension as I suspect AI tanks will end up as mince meat pretty quickly

Will we be able to report the bots for being...bots? :trollface:

 

Jokes aside, I don't see any bugfixes mentioned... :sceptic: particularly the black screen crash bug, which is a game-breaker if you try playing in fullscreen. (If anyone doesn't know yet, play in any of the two windowed modes to avoid a crash)

Beginning of the end if they need AI to make up player numbers?  Or maybe it's only for NA and late nights.

Balc0ra already saw the NA patch note, and the bots will be just for the LATAM server and maybe for the Australian, that have low population...

I actually find it odd it's not even for EU even on late nights. As low tiers are more or less dead after 1 AM, especially on EU2. NA had some slow hours even before their merger when I played there for a bit. As my first NA game was a 7vs7 or something. But I guess they think it's still enough, even on NA.

Bugfixes usually appear on the live patch notes vs CT. Tho mostly under "fixed some technical issues" more so then details. As CT bring new issues ofc, so they add those they notice and fixed during CT to the live patch notes. But as I said, they are usually vague on what they fixed. They also add the known issues list at the end of every live patch vs CT. But I suspect the sound hit bug will still be on that list, even tho the list has shrunk the last few patches.
