OK, what is THE best TD line in game. We are not talking for one tank in particular, but for a line that has sever great tanks in it?

OK, so in my best tier X TD thread I we chose the Object 268 v4 as THE best. But what line is the best? What line is just fun to grind with good tanks in most tiers?

11:28 Added after 3 minutes

This is hard for me.

I'm split between the Object 268 line and JgPZ E 100 line.

In the 268 line we have SU-152 (I love it), ISU-152 (I love it) and Object 704 (I love it!!!). But it ends with Object 268 (I HATE IT)

In the E 100 line there are JagdPanther (I love it), Ferdinand (good), JagdPanther II (decent), JagdTiger (I love it), and finish with JagdPanzer E 100 (I love it).

Voted for the German line.

T95 and E3 for me. I feel the E3 whilst slower is better than the 268 v4 in every other respect. Massive fairly acurate boom stick with decent HESH damage, virtually impenetrable frontally and faster traverse than that supposedly OP Russian garbage. Also you get the T95 for your troubles. Maxed repair crew and enhanced toolbox, along with some good old fashion Cola? Yes please.

It's not impenetrable. The armor is just trollish and shells don't land on the weaker points of the lower plate a lot of times.

I don't like tank destroyers as a class, but I need them for missions, so I went for something that is closest to tanks I like: the USA turreted td line.

I love the T25/2 and T28 prot. I bought both back because T25/2 I love to play as med and T28 I love to play as heavy.

For the best line I would say the T110E4

Tier 4-5 - fantastic clubbers

Tier 6 - still pretty decent after the nerfs

Tier 7 - meh but not desperate

Tier 8-9 - really enjoyed them, despite what people say about the T28 concept.

Tier 10- haven't bought it yet but I hear it's not great, but it still has a turret so isn't that bad.

Any line with that many decent tanks in can't be that bad.

can't say for sure. but JagpanzerE100 gets interesting from tier 8 onwards.

it depends on your playstyle. if you like to camp go for STRV line.

if you like to attack/brawl go for obj v6 line.

if you want to derp jagpanzer/shitbarn line..

I don't think there is a best TD line. Each line offers unique experience.

Ultimate sniper: Strv 103b

Biggest fun and troll tank: 4005 II

Mobile sniper: Grille 15

Assault TD: V4, E3, JgE100,

Multi-role TD: E4

Autoloader: 50 B

268, 133G FT and badger have been out of meta for a long time because they have nothing special to offer.

Badger has best DPM + impenetrable armor when is hull down. Not special at all

I voted for JgPzE100 line (the line, not the tier X) because:

 - Stug III G has great accuracy and pen for a tier V

 - FlatPanzer received really nice buffs several patches ago which made it a really good tier 6 TD

 - JPanther was and still is an amazing TD with good mobility, good alpha and excellent gun handling

 - JPanther II is playable

 - Jagdtiger is an amazing combination of alpha and DPM

 - JgPzE100 : still have to buy it but i imagine having 1k alpha cannot be that bad

Good luck with that mobility. It has the second worst penetration of all TDs and even if we say badger is good the line has an extremely painful grind. pretty much all the tanks in the line are bad. Based on stats there are lots of tanks in the game that are wonderful but in reality they are useless

Just came here to make sure that no one was suggesting the French.  I've been grinding the mle48 forever.  It was crap before I took a break, and even with an auto loader it is still a depressing tank to play.  The tanks below it were 'meh' as well, particularly the mle 46. I have only kept at it in hope the 9 and 10 make up for it.

Both US TD lines are decent enough.  Some people don't like the T28s (both) but they are fine.

German JgPz line is decent enough as well.  Not started the Grille line.

The 268v4 line looks pretty fun - I'm only at the SU-100M1 which is trollish when top tier and decent at other times, but I think the rest of the line looks decent too.

The 268 line is decent until you get to tier 10.

The Badger line is... jeez, well it is different.  My stats are decent in those tanks and while I didn't particularly hate any of them they are boring to play and downright frustrating at times.

I'm only up to the Challenger in the crapbarn line.  Seems to be an ok line too but I'm still getting used to playing TDs without armour.

And finally I've not tried the Swedes or Chinese so nothing to add there - I guess I could say I am more enthusiastic about trying the Swedes... the Chinese TDs don't look too exciting to me.

German E 100 line is very powerfull and I like it very much.

I actually stopped at Ferdinand, with that 128 mm I don't fear even tier X.

But I would like to try E 100 I see loot of fireworks going on in front of its gun.

If you want a "heavy" TD that can go up close and put huge holes into enemy superheavies: E3-line.

If you want a "sneaky" TD that obliterates enemies from range: Strv line.

"Special" is pointless if you can't make use of it. And DPM is rather useless if your target is mobile or well armored. And its armor only goes up to about 350mm as well, so most other T10 TDs can punch through it with premium and have the alpha advantage too. Try dealing with a hulldown E3 in a Badger, even your HE will just bounce most of the time. While he can either pen you with APCR, or splash you for 300-400 with HE.

Same here voted for the T95 /E3 this was the first tier 9, I got a positive win % on its such a confidence builder, it made playing higher tiers less daunting.

Still saving up silver to do a E3 marathon, as I need to git good at tier 10.

Only tried the chinese TDs up to tier 4 and I like it. It can sit behind and deal a good wallop but is mobile enough to storm forward and help the end game clear up. I reckon good players will get the most out of this....Im really average but have something daft like 59% WR in it.

Im not going any further until the crew gets 6th sense at least
