Commanders,

Today, we’re launching the Supertest for a vehicle many veteran tankers still hold dear: The T-50-2. Simultaneously, we’ll be testing a new Tier VIII Premium light tank: The Object 432.

Let’s begin with the latter. So, what’s the Object 432 like?

The New One: The Object 432

Obj-432.jpg

The new Premium tank is quite like the top vehicle of the Soviet light tank branch: low silhouette, great camo, and a hard-hitting weapon (for a light tank). Gameplay-wise, the Object 432 is different from its progression Tier VIII counterpart, the LTTB, being able to combine spotting with damage dealing (while the LTTB is more about active spotting, having better acceleration and view range). At the first stage of testing, the newcomer will carry an 85-mm gun with better stats than those of the LTTB. We’re doing this to make the tanks play differently. Then, we’ll see how the 432 goes with a 100-mm cannon. After the test, we’ll decide on the weapon and final stats. Of course, we’ll inform you on the choice we made.

The Т-50-2. No Jokes!

T-50-2.jpg

It’s a coveted vehicle, loved by many a tanker. Lots of folks keep a place for it in their hearts and Garages, so he're the first info on the return of the old-school Soviet spotter! There’s a good chance it will make a triumphant comeback, provided… well, we’ll tell you more about that some time later. For now, let’s brief those not yet familiar with the T-50-2.

We had lots of reasons to remove it from the game 5 years ago: this tank was ahead of its time and did not fit in with the gameplay of that era. Also, it was unique and because of that, it was becoming overly popular. The decision to part with it was a hard (and sad) one. But those days have long passed, and today the T-50-2 is on its way back. We mean it: we’re really starting the Supertest for the refurbished T-50-2!

What’s It Like?
The new T-50-2 is a highly mobile Tier VI light tank made for active spotting. It also has decent combat efficiency: you can light enemies up, but you can also beat them up, surviving by being agile and compact.

The Supertest stats for the T-50-2 suit the battle tier range for Tier VI light tanks. Let’s see how it rolls! In any case, it’s THAT T-50-2: tiny, fast, and elusive.

“Lock on the railway crossing! Will light it right after the countdown!” If you played 5 years ago, you’ll get goosebumps seeing this in the chat window, realizing that your teammate is commanding a T-50-2. It doesn’t matter that those spotted won’t be dangerous Tier Xs. The T-50-2 will do it in style, regardless!

Some day… :justwait:

Stay tuned!

I did some research on the internet about the Object 432. Wikipedia says, Object 432 is one of the prototypes of T-64 main battle tank, equip with 115 mm D-68 gun and electro-hydraulic automatic reload system. That means this tank must be Tier 11 Medium Tank but you people ıntroduce this tank as a Tier 8 Premium Light Tank. Another weird tank from WG....

Im always glad to see new and interesting light tanks.:)

(Also, any chance we get to see the Aufklärungspanther in the game before those two?)

In general we don’t need more premiums, but it’s okay to get high tier russian lights.

Biggest consern i see is the gun depression value for obj 432. It’s way too good for this kind of turret (and hull.). Gun depression should be -5. Otherwise it renders wz-132 and lttb useless. Currently model is just way too good if it has more than 5 degree of gun depression.

From what I have read, the 432 is supposed to be the follow-up to the 430 and led to the T-64.

Is there a secondary naming system for light tanks?

This is pretty cool. I was researching the Obj 432 just yesterday, so this is an interesting coincidence. Although it was a candidate MBT. Funny how WG is introducing first the Caernarvon AX then potentially this thing... They are addressing ideas raised by the community; we've clamored for a premium Russian tier VIII LT (remember the T-44 Ltwt) and a British premium heavy for a long time.

Well seeing as the Carnation AX was in game files and so far unreleased, until last Friday, maybe there is hope that the Kirovets 1 may appear.

Would be nice to see all other tanks hidden in game files released, make the game more interesting.

Money grab? Cause it won't generate them moneys if it were a proper tier X mission reward light tank?

Obj 432 seems to be very op with current stats. 7° depression is too much. More turret armor than king tiger has, on a tier 8 light? Ridicilous.

So, a rashn t8 premium light tank just so happens to be better than all other t8 lights in the game at literally everything? Must be a coincidence! The thing is closer to being a t9 light than a t8. Lmao at this game and these developers.

IMO, to be constructive, the Obj 432 is a much better candidate to be a tier X light tank mission/Marathon reward tank.

This tank has absolutely no place (!!), technology wise, historically wise, game play wise and tech tree logics at tier 8! This tank historically comes after the 430 prototype, as a prototype, which led to the T-64 MBT.

There for it has no business to be made a tier 8.

About the T-50-2, to be constructive.

The T-50-2 was developed around the same time the T-50 had been developed by Factory 174.

Before it got removed by WG there was a logical progression from the T-50 to the T-50-2 in the tech tree. Logical in the sense of time line and in resemblance when looking at the tank models.

WG was stubbornly adamant in replacing it with something no one ever heard of the MT-25. By the looks of the tank (back when previews were released) it self bared no chronological resemblance between the T-50 at tier 5 and the new LTTB at tier 7. Though both T-50 and LTTB do share significant resemblances.

Therefore I want to emphasise that the MT-25 be made the premium tier 6 light tank and the T-50-2 be brought back to logically fill in the current gap in the tech tree now occupied by the MT-25.

the new t50² will have more or less the same stats as the MT-25 hence, way less acceleration and top speed than the original T-50²

and the precision buff in 8.6 came so u could now shoot lights at 70/80kmh or even snapshot some wheras it was totally impossible in the T-50² and T-50 old time.

they try to get the old memories back to sell that tank but it will only be a shadowy t-50², the only tank that could eventually be compared to the old t-50² acceleration wise is the T-100LT

Actually that thing is tested with a better 100mm gun than the T-54LT or most T8 mediums (going by more recent leaks). Visually it seems smaller, which will result in a very good camo value (and as light it gets camo-on-the move bonus), and the extremely angled front armor will certainly generate some bounces as well.

So if they add it with that 100mm gun, it is competing with the techtree T9 light and making most T8 "normal" meds (premium and techtree) just obsolete. Kinda the Defender of Lights.

About time they gave a major buff to the Tiger 2, made it like a tech tree Lowe.

Please don't compare it to the Defender, look what happened to the 50TP, that sure ain't no Defender plus it was nerfed before it was launched, by comparing it now you have sealed the fate as everyone will want it thinking it is OP AND expect ti to be like the actual Defender.

Especially the Obj.432 looks interesting and sexy

But I do find it a bit sad that you put all these interesting tanks behind a paywall :(

Prob not, it's not russian so they first need to release the 40238384 russian prem tank and after that they might release the AFK Panther lol...

The T-50-2!!! Finally! I waited 6 years for it! It was my first tier 5 ( that saw tier X tanks, yeej <3)

Update after 5 minutes: it looks like this version of the T-50-2 is heavily slowed down compared to the old one. Considering the meta has changed into faster hull/turret traverses, i'm very curious whether it's going to be a thing. I'll hope these mobility stats are not final and get some nice buffing.
