Anyone else getting burnt out from trying to keep up with all of the missions wargaming is giving us lately?  It seems to be relentless, yet it needs to be done so we don't have to pay for tanks or get camo before its gone etc, etc, etc.

I don't know how to reply to this without being rude to you.

I will just say that it doesn't make sense to me that you typed this one.

The only way I have ever completed missions is accidentally, and I've never gone out to get them so when I do one it's a lovely surprise to be told, not the end of a hideous grind.

Nah, I don't really care to passionately chase down every single mission that gets added and tbh, the more mission the better imo, they add a constant flow of income and sometimes they even add a little interest to bother playing at all. My approach is to activate all of them if they are PM and just play away as normal whenever you feel like it and as many forumites would say, these missions tend to complete themselves, apart from the very tricky missions and those tend to be kept to be active long enough that you actually remember their requirements so no such issues there either. Any other missions such as weekend boosters or mini marathons, marathons etc etc, tend to be nothing more than bi-products from just playing normally, do X amount of dmg, X amount of kills, finish in the top X of team for xp/dmg etc.

The requirements for completion rarely involve anything other than playing normally but, to also play reasonably well, and playing well is never a bad thing!! For anything like the really heavy demands like a tier8 marathon tank... they are carefully balanced and tailored to not suit 95% of the playerbase, with the single goal to bait players with interest, to purchase the tank and should never be seen as anything other than a 30-50% discount on a tier8 premium... with some free stuff along the way.

I'm at a point where I genuinely don't care about missions or marathons. I have the tanks I want and enjoy playing with decent crews, run a few grinds in the background of tanks I THINK I might like without any real push to have done, I take advantage of and wait for discount weekends since I have no urgency to get anything or complete anything and I'm having more fun at mid tiers than top tiers even though being bottom tier all the time sucks but, I have enough experience to make it work and with mid tiers comes a certain level of crazy unpredictable excitement, mayhem and the potential for something really special with every battle. So just try and enjoy your game and honestly forget about all the rest.

tbh, I don't pay much attention to them.

I play as normal & they just sort of 'happen'

Kinda get what you mean. It can certainly be a tad much - perhaps a sign that the mission requirements aren't up to speed (creativity, of course, plays a role). I'd prefer something meaningful, but WoT is perhaps too varied for that to happen.

Regardless, it plays well into the idea of 'participation medals'.

Seems like complaining about free stuff still hasn't disappeared from the forums. You aren't forced to do them, you know. No point trying to do them if you're driving yourself crazy over them.

Well, you've only been playing the game for a year, give it another 6 or 7 years and see if you think differently.

i'm not complaining, its great to get free stuff to grind for, its the amount of grinding that's needed week after week that's getting to me, and yes I could just not do it but then I would miss out on a tank I couldn't afford to buy. I can guarantee you at the end of this event there will be another event that will require another 2 weeks of your life that you have a choice not to do and miss out on some new tank that's great.

I find for this marathon thing it is getting me stressed out but that is because I am not a good player, there I said it:D

Only on the third mission, and using standard ammo is a bit pointless, well for a noob like me.

PS free stuff is always welcome.

They run so many missions to give a reason/ hook for players to actively play the game with a hope that more will spend. It's there prerogative to get as many of us to play as much and for as long as possible.

Best thing to do is limit your playtime imho it isn't healthy to game for prolonged period bad for all aspects of health and wellbeing and life is top short to limit yourself too.

More like "a tank I chose not to buy". If you have a decent computer, if you pay for the electricity, if you have the time to play ... then you surely can pay for this tank.

About the missions, yes they are lots of them but they did a good job in displaying the progress in each battle report.

Just play like you normally would. Then when you get a ton of rewards after a battle suddenly... Just take it a pleasant surprise. I hardly ever check the mission list often tbh.

I generally don't have a clue any more what missions are on.

But a lot of that is down to the mission ui being terrible.
