The stick figure needs shopping bags hanging from his arms, and the PLA never used Cromwells. But apart from that I like your analogy.

Recent history of the photograph and how it got taken = http://www.bbc.com/c...ined-a-massacre

Interestingly what model is the Type 59 in the famous picture?

Type 59 - basic variant - the bore evacuator is towards the end of the barrel.

Type 59-I = fitted with a rifled 100mm improved gun.

Type 59-II = fitted with a 105mm rifled gun.

Type 59D = 105mm and reactive armour.

Type 59DI = longer 105mm gun.

Type 62 = lighter armour

Type 69 = improvements

Type 79 = improvements

Type 59G = 125mm gun.

I would bet that the first three tanks in the photo are Type 59IIA due to bore evacuator placement. Although telling the minor variations apart is tricky. The fourth tank in the line looks to have a slightly different size cloth over the gun mounting?

-Wrong tank.

-Wrong angle of the picture.

-Wrong angle of the gun.

-Wrong terrain. Where is the pavement.

-Half dead tank.

-Scarecrow is passive-aggressive.

I'll give Type 62/Type 95

What actually happened to this fella?

I mean, I know the story - just curious what happened afterwards.

His golf shop was seized by the state and put into administration, apparently golf is a western decadent sport and not in keeping with the aims of the people.

He now owns a small PC & laptop repair shop in Dalston

I assume that he runs it from his dank, dark cell.

I was going to put 'laughing' emoji, then realised it would be a tad inappropriate.

No one actually knows (a) who he was, or (b) what happened to him, although wikipedia has a couple of versions;

Given China's normal attitude to dissenting voices, I'd say at best he slipped away and kept his mouth very firmly shut about the episode but if identified and detained, dead.

Very likely the latter, unless he's lost, deep in the bowels of some god-awful Chinese prison.

Probably better off dead:(

And the Cromwell was hidden behind the scarecrow. Sure, it has something to do with the fact that enemy was on the middle of the 1 line behind the hill, but who dares to diminish the clans commander effort.

Also, I have looked at the chat...
