Nice, now I can make a clan and display my logo in Asia where I have a minimal presence. Thanks! I just need to play my derpy T-VI premium KV2®.  Fun, fun, fun!

The problem with clans is that there are already too many of them, all with not enough players.

I originally joined a (small) clan because that's what you do in online games.

Then I discovered that "real" clans do "Strongholds", "Advances" and "Clan Wars".  That they run boosters to give you extra credits and XP.  And that on the "Global Map" you can win "Clan Wars Camo" and even "Premium Reward Tanks".

So I left my original clan (which only ever played 7v7 Team Battles and often struggled to get enough on line) and joined a bigger one.

I'd say, if you want the "Real" benefits of being in a clan it needs to have AT LEAST 30 active members.

Block Quote

In the tab, players can view the list of clans that can be joined without application approval.

So you know which ones to avoid :P

- Have to wait 15 days until October 10th to create a clan

- Have to grind 1million credits

- Have to find some friends/ people who wanna play with you

Very easy

My dreams of a glorious Churchill GC clan, crushing all before it in a tide of glass bricks, are a little closer to reality.

Like, 3mm closer. 2.7mm.

This sounds like very good news, good work on this WG :great:

Now the only thing missing is to make it easier for average clans to earn some gold. My suggestion on this one is to simply extend the global map and open up more provinces. Also, please scrap the tier 8 provinces, they give silly (low) amounts of gold anyway. Then add some sort of limitation to how many provinces a single clan can hold so that more clans can hold provinces without getting pushed out.

Another suggestion, I saw these news recently on the World of Warships website:

https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/game-updates/new-clan-base/#oil

https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/game-updates/update-079-royal-navy/#arsenal-new-goodies

Maybe this could be implemented in World of Tanks aswell?

- Different structures that provides bonuses for the clan, for example: more players to the clan, reduced costs for purchasing new tanks from the techtree, reduced repair costs, more xp for each battle, more crew xp, and so on.

- A new clan currency called Oil that can be used to purchase different things from a clan shop. Think of it as a clan-wars version of gold.

- A clan wars shop that allows players to exhange their oil into different rewards like premium tanks, customization, unique commanders, gold etc.

This doesn't help fix they problem of there not being enough players to recruit into Clans, but anything to make joining Clans easier is welcomed, hope they fix the recruitment station also.

Ehrm I think there's plenty of players aviable, but if most decent clans insist of having requirements around 2500+ WN8 then no wonder there's too few players...

Good and all, but will those who created a clan for gold have the option to get it refunded?

Recruitment station is full of inactive players, when I search you comes up saying you meet the requirements and are looking for what my Clan is offering, yet you don't actually show on the recruitment station?

While temping.... my experience (over decades) is that most clans are run by little would-be dictators who spend most of their time trying to keep the "star" members (with even bigger "star" ego's) under their thumb.

Not to mention that a lot of clan "ethics" leave a lot to be desired... the "my clan, right or wrong" adagio that leads to "standing by my clan member" even when said member(s) is obviously wrong (trolling, TK, etc) is nothing to strive for.

Your clan should reprimand/punish you (upto the point of removal) in cases of (gross) misconduct... most clans don't, they even double down in defending their members.

A good clan also requires a time investment that is not to be sneezed at.

Once a week gangraping noobs is NOT a time investment, it is the equivalent of a drunken pub crawl amongst old highschool friends once every six-nine months and calling that bunch of misfits BFFs.

A good clan also has an eye to spot and pick up "raw" talent and is willing to invest the time to shape that "raw talent" into a better player.  And this without first "breaking" the prospects will or by only "hammering till he learns or leaves".

Anyways.........

All that said, i am not good enough at WoT for clanfare  :)

WG is fast losing confidence in their game it seems. Desperately trying to (re)attract players.

More and more things that actually benefit players and the new things things that they do come up with (crew for money that they are giving a shot now on the RU server and the "Pay money to earn full credits/xp on a loss" packages) reek of milking the last drops before pulling the plug.

It will be fun though seeing a million clans now with 1-5 members, that surely will make things more clear and structured.

In these few years, I personally know 3 or 4 people who tried to play WOT (So they just tried...) with whom I would like to play not only WOT, but basketball, football, to the pub for a drink... There's no way that I allow myself to be yell-at by some yellow-colored 15-year-old over TS, even if the prizes were 10 000 gold per day. Man should have at least a little dignity and self-respect.

Regarding these options for making clan for silver, I do not know personally anyone who plays WOT, so... will be given absolutely zero shts by me.

Another sign the game is in trouble.

Still I'm looking forward to start the gunslinger clan and accept no other players :P

As mentioned above, clans should be about playing together, with less clans probably the better. I can't see why WG is doing this, as there is no money to gain...

So very true, some clans, like ours was formed out of drunken humour, with the emphasis on Team battles we have yet to have a single one, most players do not have TS which is essential for tooning and should be mandatory for Team battle, coupled with the fact clan leaders need player with certain qualities.

TBH in the four clans I have been in, I have not seen any benefits whatsoever in being in a clan.

What is this Recruitment station people speak of?
