I have both, but the type 54 p still is capable of taking other tanks by surprise, mainly ones which I drive:D

" A fearsome Soviet machine, quite resilient for its size. Indeed, this medium tank will put its front armour to good use in every firefight, while its side armour allows for great side-scraping moves"

...Until it faces T10s in the majority of matches.

Don't buy it !!!! It goes to tier 10 battles 90% of times, armor is useless there, and you don't have speed and gun to flank.

Doesn't that one still have that bad price tag due to the marathon though? ;)

Yeah I reckon it does. I just assumed that most have one of those anyway. And if you are in the market for a russian medium, and willing to spend money on a Mod.1, then you might as well pay a little bit more for something that doesn't suck in comparison.

On paper a nice balanced tier 8 medium. The tech tree T-44 is slightly faster while the better armor of Mod 1 doesn't really matter for anything.

T-44-100 looks like pure pay to win hence the price tag.

I'm tempted to trade in my American T34 useless heavy for this one since I absolutely love the standard T-44 despite the MM but could do with faster crew training.

Tier 8 tank in tier 10 matches, 80% of time. No tier 8 can overcome that issue.

Maybe the new incoming tier 8 soviet td (super-skorpion) or the new shiny tier 8 soviet LT.

Very nice tank on a good MM.

But as said above the current MM makes it 75% on bottom tier.

But it's the same problem with all tier 8 premium or non premium...

Such a pity really nice T8 Soviet crew trainer credit earner Premium tank so very nice to play at tier 8 & T9, a big shame though that

It fights tier 10's every 9 out of 10 games that means 90% of those battles you spectate watch to see how your T9 & T10 play well or die fast leaving you facing T9's and T10's

~  in your puny weak with low armour and a low power T8 Gun with low hitpoints and inferior tank dynamics

see you back in the Garage in less than a minute then

3-5-7 'fixed' Template best thing ever, eh WG?

T-54FP matches the crew of.. the Matilda IV (Tier 5)! I have difficulties finding a passable, usable crew configuration for the other mediums I have. It has 4 crew members and the commander is the radioman, which is not optimal, because makes impossible to have 6-th sense, BIA, Recon and Situation Awareness easily (so far I have BIA and 80% Situation); especially when training other crews.

The armor is good indeed, keep it slightly angled and it will surprise you - just don't rush to the frontlines but peek behind the others or take some defensive positions and it will be ok. But you'll ding more than a medium does (repat: don't yolo Tier X at point black).

It's medium agile, but overall with a slow top speed (44kmh) for a medium, hence you won't be able to relocate al lot. Gun is "nice-ish" (mine is 0.33 accuracy, 2.01s aim, 190pen), not a sniper, feels like a laser "pew-pew", definately go for the tracking shots and then see cover while relocading.

The tank is small, if you play it with humilty they'll notice you at the end or not at all. Depression is also weird, 7° at the front, considerably less on the sides, see it on tanks.gg.

I got mine with a 30% discount times ago and it was my first Tier 8 Premium: it was the cheapest premium tier 8 medium, and I bought only for credit making (stay assured, never negative, and plenty of them). Repair costs when destroyed are ~7900cr and shells are 252cr each.

I'd buy it again? ..sure! Is it a game carrier 1vs8? nope!

This tank is very good when in a good MM, however, when bottom tier, pretty much an average med...

btw, using the amor to bully tier 6/7 tanks is very fun! (roughly about 200-220mm effective upper hull amor and 200-230mm turret amor)

Keep wiggling (dancing) if spotted, you may bounce some super high-pen shots, due to its 90mm side amor.
