As I used to buy a lot premium tanks in the past, I'm now sitting on a heap of premium garbage that really doesn't cut it anymore in the game, which in theory should make me an ideal candidate for the trade-in programme. However:
- I own almost all of the tanks available in the ingame store anyway.
- Of the three new additions, I don't have the AMX or the STG, but neither of them seem particularly attractive to me. Wargaming makes a point to keep the really well-performing tanks such as the Lorraine out of the ingame shop.
- If I wanted the STG or the AMX - and I can see myself getting the AMX at some point - well, ever since the
rip-off enjoyable Christmas event I've been sitting on more than 30k gold I have no use for, so I will probably use that gold instead.
- At any rate, I will freely admit that I probably even wouldn't use the trade-in programme even if some of the really hard hitting premium tanks were in it - the conditions are not that attractive, and besides, even if many of my premium tanks are more or less pointless these days, I still find it kind of hard to part with them. Silly me

My point is - much rather than giving us the option to trade-in old tanks, I would like to see them buffed to a point where they are actually competetive. I guess Wargaming's reason is that if they do that, people wouldn't feel the need to buy the shiny new ones. My reasoning is different, however - I have stopped buying Premium tanks exactly because many of those I bought have been power-creeped into oblivion - why buy any more Premium tanks when I know they're useless in a year anyway? If I felt assured the tanks I buy for good money actually remain competetive, I would seriously consider buying Premium tanks again. At the moment, though, that is not going to happen. Fool me once ...
