Sigh yet another player that rather than learn the games mechanics blame cheats. OP this is how it looks from above when you fire:

That's the vanilla game and those are tracers and broken fences, 2 of those players was just as inexperienced with the game as you so they didn't move after they fired. Something which on plenty of maps is really easy to counter due to the lack of spots arty tend to sit at.

That's why they got the fair play policy and why they ban people that cheats, you simply just got countered when you played arty since you didn't move after you fire and I'll let you in on a little secret, even if you encounter a redball cheater they won't hit you if you move so you just have to play properly and neither the in-game mechanics or the cheats can counter you.

No problem, I just need your replay.

Anyway, redball is no more effective than countering with tracers, and your defence against it is the same, just move after firing.  That way they spend all battle chasing a red dot.

So let me guess. You fire and never relocate or move?. And always go to the normal spots enemy arty is in 9 out 10 games? You can see the tracer even without the red ball to focus on you. So if you camp the normal spots. It's not much work for the enemy arty to find you. Even more so if it's where you spawn. As arty is the only class with locked spawns on every map. Or when the people you hit tell their arty what direction the shots came from to make it even easier for him to counter.

So if you never relocate... then that's why. I'm willing to bet that 90% if the people that hit you don't even have the red ball. As the early SPG missions had task to counter arty before they got spotted. There even is a ribbon for it. So it's not like it's 100% impossible without cheats.

If everyone started cheating today suddenly. They won't fall under the last ban wave. Even if they banned all the cheaters today, it won't stop new cheaters from appearing tomorrow.

His replay won't prove anyone cheated. As it's 100% impossible to prove from his viewpoint. For all we know they pre-aimed there, waited for the tracer and aimed as much as it could have been a red ball.

Heck, depending on the flow of the battle I sometimes shoot at the usual arty positions without even having seen a tracer.

Or falling trees. As I said, arty is the only class with a locked preset spawn location. So the closest common camping points to those usually be where you pre-aim, and where you can see a tree fall over etc. Then you fire on that. Even got lucky that way many times.

That and the new arty view shows tracers to. And then you can look at a rather large area at an angle. Tho it's not as easy to pinpoint the exact location, it narrows it down.

You should write to Mr Trump With your mentality, you could be the next AG in no time at all.

Can I also say.  I have no idea of cheat mod names or the functionality of all but the most discussed.  Then, I do not know how to shop lift, rob a bank or commit credit card fraud.

Counterbattery is an art.

When I counterbattery, I always alternate firing behind and in front of the tracer.  very few players move left or right since obviously backwards or forwards is easier.  Figure 2-3 sec shell travel time when u aim, and fire.  Of course, very often, the other arty simply doesn't move and my evil plan is thwarted.

I had an interesting game today. I had a Bert on my team. That aimed on their Bishop. But only when he was spotted. I asked why he never fired blind, and he simply said "spot". As it's not like the Bishop is a speed demon that can get away fast either if you blind fire on him.

Turns out he only aimed on him when he was spotted, and moved away when not. He had 50K games, 6K of them in arty and I was the first that told him he could see tracer of non spotted arty. So he could counter fire. So it is an art for some I guess.

we had a fun game not long ago where we played as two teams of arty each standing in their own capcircles exchanging fire.

It was quiet interesting to see and the two best arty players were actually the ones who finished the game, duelling for quiet a while till one made a mistake.

uncool crimson this is a on topic whine threads=> it should stay either in games discussion or be moved to the graveyard, the offtopic section is neither.

No, it's YOUR job to prove that your claims and accusations are more than just baseless whining and deluded excuses.

That's how basic human communication works. Kids already learn that at elementary school.

We should have a separate section for whine threads.

Seriously, we should.
