as the title says, only in wargaming can you get a chat ban when you haven't been in the game or on any of the chat channels.

the dictatorship that this game has become means you get punished even without committing an offense.

I logged in today, checked what tank was in the advent calendar then logged out, no chat or any battles. and tonight after checking my emails, I find I got a chat ban for inappropriate behavior in chat.

You know, that chat bans can become active several days after you have gathered enough reports? However, you are right, that the WG chat bans are given out much more frequently lately.

Imo, not such a bad thing at all.

Same way you can get banned for other stuff. It doesn't indicate it's due to a recent event. It's also automated now looking for words on all channels you use that auto reports you. So if you did gather enough reports from players and that system, as we don't know how long that's been around. And they did review it and gave you a ban once they got around to it. It could have been a rant wave you had 6 weeks ago for all we know.

ironically I had just finished a 5-day ban due to certain people in chat [those with the power], not knowing that the term "oxymoron" is not swearing or insulting, prior to that my in-game chat was always turned off.

and I am not dumb enough to rant in General chat because I know how vindictive some people can be [again, those with the power]. I admit prior to my turning in-game chat off I did feel like venting due to the really toxic behavior of certain players. which is why I kept it off.

all a mute point now as I decided due to the stalinesque attitude of wargaming I do not enjoy the game enough to warrant wasting my time in it anymore. ergo game is uninstalled.
