So, I was thinking, will the Soviet heavy, the T-35 ever be implemented in the game? I think I've seen some renders a few years ago, but I'm not even sure if that was official.

I know it's a very slow, poorly armoured monster, but I've always really loved it and I'd even be happy to pay for it if it was added as a premium.

With a crew of 11 it'd be an interesting crew trainer. The bundle should include a full BIA crew.

Interesting to say the least, would it be a tier 3 4 or 5 tank if it were to enter the game?

Pretty much yeah.

Same goes for the remaining Japanese heavies.

Although I suppose that the rushkihs could use a low-tier branch leading up to the KV-1.

On the other hand, that'd invalidate the raison d'être for the T-26, T-46 and T-28.

Hm... maybe if it'd lead to the KV-1S instead, and put a research link from KV-1S to KV-1.

As a fan of historically accurate tanks I strongly support the idea.

To be honest I was always quite surprised that T-35 is not present in WOT. It was a symbol of late 30s Red Army, present on all propaganda materials.

Eh, O-I supposedly had a crew of 11 or something and it still has only 6 in-game (the extra being a loader, iirc).

Oh it's already been tested and made into a model years ago. As I had to dig a bit to find it here on this forum. But it was back in late 2012.

Spoiler

Same short 76mm as on the T-46 with improved pen. Spaced armor on the side and more or less the same armor as the KV-1 head-on. No idea what happened to it. But one topic did seem to suggest it was too strong at the time. And put on hold.

Yeah, but.. that would make it weaker then the AMX 40, with a pew pew tier III light gun. That's not Russian enough for tier 4. This was from one of the last tests they did. They did try other thicknesses etc. But they never found a good middle ground for gun vs armor vs the targets he would fight. Inc the 122mm of the KV-1S "the old tier 6 variant that is"

Balance always comes before historical accuracy in this game. Most tanks that were historical at one point. Either got pen or armor buffs later for balance reasons. Same as new tanks had more armor or guns then they actually had historically. Again for balance reasons. If not they would be butter anyway vs all the other guns they face. Just like the Tiger did not just face M4's and T-34's. There was a T-29 and IS-3 added to the mix. Thus he got the gun the King Tiger's turret was made to fit.

Yeah, It's not like we don't have enough Russian tanks. Who cares about a British LT line or even a Japanese TD line, right?

11 mm of armour, the size of a bus and does 30 kph, sounds like a tier 2-3 premium that WG will give away at Christmas, so a free garage slot!

Agree - it's obvious that T-35 is too weak for Tier 4. I see it on tier 3, alongside with similiar medium tank - T-29. On Tier 3 its paper armor and lack of mobility would be compensated with powerful gun and (probably, due to its size) a high pool of HP.
