His gameplay was superb, a real tough match against a player that reminds me of Ebdon in all his boring glory :)

Nevertheless Ebdon was Ronnie's kryptonite for a long time. :)

I'm still fascinated that Steve 'Interesting' Davis has a sideline as a DJ.

Like many people of my age I started watching snooker during its popularisation during the 70/80’s with Pot Black. I’m not an avid follower now but I will watch it if I notice it’s on. What made me feel old was noticing the players replacing the generation I grow up with themselves being replaced.

What are you on about now, are you saying you like to watch English football for that reason?

Did he answer the call?

The land turtle in the zoo we visited when I was at school was called Ronny, too. People called him "Ronny the red rocket", but it took me years to understand what that meant. A tree stump in his enclosure played a major role...

But since this is about minigolf, I better leave you alone now.

The curse of age Jabs, coppers look wet behind the ears to your aged eyes too, I'll bet :)

Pot Black was my introduction into snooker too, my dad loved it and used to amaze me by predicting what shots they would play next (most of the time) :)
Good match this afternoon for Ronnie, must admit I felt sorry for the young un in the other chair, I think his nerves got the better of him and he didn't really do himself justice

He won 6-1 again today, He actually lost 5 frames in the first round to Ken Doherty, which is more than he lost during the rest of the tournament so far

yeah, I hope this shows that theres still some life left in Doherty, as I quite like Ken :)

Would be nice to see Ronnie go up through a few more gears from the final

I kinda miss the ‘good old days’ when you had snooker players with a pint in one hand and a fag in the other.
