Greetings Tankers,

We will soon start the closed test for a new version of the Minsk map. The second iteration is smaller in size (900x900 meters) with the main area of action relocated.

mmap_minsk_p3.jpg

The changes are intended to increase the importance of spotting and make play in the open part of the map more of engaging for mobile vehicles. There will also be a significant reduction in the number of destructible objects, meaning the space will be more open for the exchange of fire between players.

The Shorter distance will contribute to coordinated movements by the team in a unified direction, creating more tactical options, further adding more variety to battles. The city blocks on this stage of testing are far from being final with further adjustments based on test results.

Spoiler

Once we collect the necessary info, we’ll decide on the fate of the map. Best of luck in your battles and Happy holidays!

Good luck and Good hunting!

One of the problems with the current iteration is that what seem to be flimsy barriers are indestructible for no apparent reason other than to coral players into corridors.  I hope this doesn't mean even more of these because it's pretty annoying to try and shoot or drive through one only to be denied.

That, sir, is a very good point. +1

Please, postal stamp sized maps should be a no-go from get-go. Expand to 1200 x 1200 if it is desireable to emphasize importance of spotting... The current map 'shifted' northwards would be perferrable choice and deleting those annoying stacks of prefab walls.

So basicly reworked maps are aimed at the wheelies making tanks less important.

I thought this was called World of TANKS.

Yeah, I'm also waiting for the rework to come. Maybe 1.5, along with Kharkov?

I guess it's been ditched but just from that minimap it didn't look like a good plan.  Having one base practically in the buildings and the other out in the open looks like a bad idea.

I am starting to like Minsk though.  Apart from those indestructible barriers.

Yeah, and limit game time to an amazing 5 minutes to make it feel like it is nothing. at all.

Seems like clicking active players is still easy from the redline.
