So I've noticed a lot in recent years and quite heavily tonight that there are a fair few people that still talk in general chat in their own language, this is fine for me personally but it is also against the rules since general chat is English only, this usually leads to most players getting confused (especially new players) when a mod tells them off for speaking normally.

That is why I've decided to make a post showing how simple is to find you're own language channel.

Step 1:

To the left of General chat, there should be a slightly smaller box with an icon of two chat boxes, clicking on that will open a new window above it.

Step 2:

Now that this new window is open, you are now free to search for your; languages, misc channels or even create your own channel.

Yeah, mods in general chat are friendly but they are also very vague, typically only saying "please use your own language channel" or "send a ticket to support".

For veteran players this might seem quite silly and simple but for those who are new to the game, you just don't know what is what and where.

It feels very scripted which isn't helpful at all for newcomers, I don't blame the mods as typing constantly can be a bit of a chore and that there is a word limit to every message but there is always a better way.

the funny thing is: it would be easy as pie for WG to just offer preset language channels based on your language choice in the launcher. :P

It would be quite simple for them to do a lot of things but they haven't :teethhappy:

I think that considering other people's ideas isn't easy for WG men.

I do so sometimes - usually when waiting for the platoon to suit up. Kinda like watching monkeys at the zoo.

Sometimes it's entertaining, sometimes it's informative. I'm still waiting for that chat revamp...

Would be nice to be more useful for announces, clans, special events, just making friends and getting help and actually getting in touch with real people from WG. Maybe for game related things or not, depending on the room.I said that something like the old irc would not be that bad, where you could see a list with all the players currently in chat.

I usually open gen chat just to help people, you'd be surprised at how many ask for help in there but often times get ignored

I think more mods are generally needed at any given time, say two or three on one shift.
