By looking at the stats the DA appears to be the better tank. What are your opinions?

DA chews and spits out CMCD any day of the week.

DA is one of my few permanent tech-tree light tanks in my collection, and after the Type 62 it's also my most played light tank. I totally love it.

Contrary to what others say: Autoloader is only better if you close attack an enemy and empty the mag (how often do you do that?). In all other cases the non-autolader is better.

No, T71 DA is flat out better tank.

"flat out" is not an argument... its rather what someone with no argument would say.

The DA is so delightfully overpowered that even I do well in it. Thoroughly enjoyable - drives like a T7 Luchs, and that gun...... :D

You can keep the 'other one' -  not interested!

It rather depends on the game, but frequently for sure. Starting with just the first 45 seconds of a battle, maps like Mines, Glacier, Abbey come to mind....a better question in those situations may be how often do you end up fighting an autoloading light for control of the central position and wish that you had an autoloader yourself? Now, I have to admit there are things I will do to avoid such issues, but most of them are because I DON'T have the clip potential. If I'd been driving the T71 DA at the time such occasions occur, I'd have had the flexibility to engage rather than run away,

Close? Thing about the T71 DA is that it works on all ranges. Don't have to spam the clip with the shortest intra clip time to be effective you know, a half a second extra is all you need. As my T71 has been a bully at 30m as well as 300m. Early on you bully their lights close up. Then support at med to long range on targets that don't mind showing their full side, then you bully isolated targets at 30m late game. So how often? More or less every game.

And I'll pick the T71 DA over any tier 7 single fire light anyday.

Unless you have many games where enemies are in the open for such a long time that your DPM starts to suffer because the burst drags you down, DA is better. I don't have these games, and if you have them please tell me how to get them. I can pay in gold.

altho i think DA is amazing, they are different lines, so if ur heading up 1 for a specific tier 10 etc, just choose the responding one.

If ur looking for 1 for funzies, DA for sure

Chalk and cheese. DA one of my t7 keepers and one of my best light tanks, cmcd ranked near the bottom of my t7 list. I found it has really poor damage potential.

T71 DA I dare say, not having played the CMCD. It holds a 900dmg mag, yes 900dmg. That's basically the same mag damage of a Skoda T50 and more mag damage than anything else non-premium of T7 and probably most T8 A-L's too. What that means is you get to demolish most all T5, all T6 and most T7 tanks in one visit or simply have the luxury of riding in on a tank with 600hp left and not really caring about missing a shot or two as you circleNspam.

Also has better view range than most lights of that tier, carries more ammo, stupidly good gun dep of -7 for an oscillating turret and camo of around 30% with a good crew, fast shell speed with APCR as standard, good pen.... 20 second reload only for another 900 alpha so ya, only two mags and you're already having a good game... scooping up vast amounts of spotting assist is just taking the p*ss altogether.

I vote for DA. I am on T6 for both lines and I want to go for TX so it doesn't really matter but I don't think I'm gonna enjoy CMDC at all.

As i sad there is nothing to compare, you will need  a crapton of games where the CMCD can use the single shot dpm  better then a  Da the clip in same situation,  while the DA can clip  left and right, the other can pew pew at best.

There is literally no comparison, the  DA can punish a bad play from the enemy so much  better and harder, it's like comparing a  ferrari to a lada, no real competition.

DA is the most fun light tank I have ever played. I think is totaly worth it.

The line is also pretty good. T7 = beast, T8 = underpowered but when top tier can be really fun and dominate, T9 = is pretty good imo, I either had very bad games with no damage or carry games with 4k - 5k dmg, Tier 10 T57 heavy played only on the test server and I like it alot, has trollish armor and very fast reload on the clip. Cannot wait to research it, mount that 3D style I got in loot boxes and platoon with my mate with 2 T57's.

I find the T71 CMCD to be awful to play, this tank has nothing like the play style of the tanks that come both before and after it, I absolutely hate playing this tank but I am working my way through this tech tree.
