As the title say, what do you guys think  is best for the 3r'd slot after rammer, vstab.

I can't decide on optics/vents/spall liner/ or even a toolbox.

Wouldn't Rammer and Vents be the first two pieces of equipment for close combat fighting with the extra DPM ? After that decide if you need more view range or splash resistance or quicker aim ability depending how you play.

I'd go coated optics since the base vr is very good.

Engine deck thickness goes from 50mm up to 100mm, so spall liner is an option.

Optics are an option too if you plan to lead the push.

And vents, well... vents are allways useful.

So would say that everything depends on what you dislike the most:

-if it's arty and jap HT go for the spall liner

-if is gun handling and mobility, vents can help a bit there too

-if you don't like short VR, go for vents.

Spall liner used to be useless until the Type 4 and 5 derps came along.  Now I would say it's a valid choice.

Made a small correction (optics instead of vents in case you like better viewrange/spotting). For the rest it's spot on for deciding equipment.

I would add to it that optics allow you to act as makeshift spotter as well when needed.

The gun handling can be a bit on the meh side, so if you really don't like it, vents do help (as pointed out by Dava)

Last case can be made for a toolbox in case of a low skill crew. So you can still have decent repairtimes (your tracks will get shot at alot).

Rammer & vert stab are just too useful on a superheavy, so gotta use those.

I never use vert stab on my Maus, neither on the VK or Mauschen. They move so slow, that your more or less always fully zoomed.
