Like I said, I have recently started playing again, and all my high tier tanks are recently bought, so stock tank. And yes, I am not the best player, I am probably not even good, but even so, watching top tier "heavies" that are supposed to be brawling, sniping while watching the team die. It's not really fun to be playing then.

And, I am not talking crap about others, I am talking about obvious bots.

Maybe I should just quit again, come back in a year or two...

Will be worse probably.

Love it when someone from Spike says something....freaks me out...

But I agree, EU2 seems worse to me.

Botting has gone mad. I just had the worst bot fight where they all go to the same location, where they can't even defense the area, clearly hiding and all 4 where going for the exact same location, not area location. Its not fun when you have 4 bots in one game.
Map was Live Oaks and they where clearly not human players, and could not hit anything from where they where hiding.

Last night I played with some players who apparently played with 400-500ms ping.
When asked why they even bothered to play, they said they had just accepted and gotten used to it.
I reckon there are a whole lot of people playing on terrible computers/connections that would explain their actions or lack thereof. Hell, I've also experienced some lag spikes from time to time which has seen me driving off cliffs or just out onto a open field. The difference is that I just stop playing if my connections gets unstable as it just isn't enjoyable for me, but for others they will just continue as it is their situation all the time.

If i was a bad player with thousands of battles, i think i would of called it quits on the game long ago, whats point of playing if there is no improvement!?

It's a mess, onethird of team dont start. Start later or just not, not react. Heavies which stay in backline, arty's who not shoot. The Fun is gone, think about to delete this crap.

And when you look at the stats of these, mostly registered 2011 or 2014 and played sometimes 600 or about 1200 battles since then??

EU2 is the Netherlands server, usually has the best ping for Western Europe / UK etc.  Not sure which of those nations you have a problem with.

not really, I am like 50km from Netherlands, but my ping to EU1 is somehow equal to EU2

and I did not mean UK or Netherlands.

Just install XVM and try play several games on EU2 , you will see what I mean.

(tip: try low tier, like tier 3-6)

Hi

I am originally an old player, who recently came back. I have now been playing about a month and a half, and I am getting more and more annoyed about the amount of players botting.

Like, it's normally easy to spot, and if they play like a "bad"/low tier tank in the match, it's not really a problem, but when they are top tier and one of the most important tanks in the match, it ruins the entire game.

So, my question is this; Why isn't those players banned already? Doesn't Wargaming have anything that can help banning the bots? Like checking the movement of the tank and aim, and compare it with the same player the next match.

I bet they are 90% the same, so why is botting still a problem in this game? It's almost 2019 people, come on.

the best thing u can do is leave again ;)

It is usually called an addiction, and I had it bad, but notice I say had, as in the past tense, it now makes no sense, but instead makes me so tense, that it is now in the past, so cheer and rejoice for the new year for I have had it up to here, instead I will quaff on my beer.

WG really doesn't care. The game is filled with 46% [edited], that can't be humans, so either they are bots or animals. Anyone camping behind arty is obviously too stupid for the game, they should go AFK in tetrin online and see how well they do. Anyways WG should introduce some sort of skill-based MM, because there are too many things in the battles that are unable to left click. Some accounts have over 100k battles with 0 played battles, all just AFKing in the base. That's why WG needs to ban 46% players and replace them with bots. Here's a video where there's 3 AFK players in the base doing absolutely nothing, and one battle with a bot, doing nothing in the base until it spotted me, activated, started moving and shooting and killed me. A 46% player can never do that. I don't mean killing me but moving and shooting. I've also reported a few of them to WG by submitting a ticket and all I got was the automated response. Now I sent a ticket with the topic of money transaction failure, where I complained and reported one O-I Exp. camping behind arty and shooting at mountains, 17k battles and 46% WR. I hope someone reads that ticket but I'm not holding my breath. The video: https://www.youtube....h?v=XV3pfNSGtv4

Because not everyone is as awesome as you in this game. And being bad or passive is not illegal or a bannable offence. As 6 years ago a bot was an AI program playing the game for you, and there were 4-5 of them in each tier 8 game. Now a bot is simply someone that don't play the way you want more so than not. And if they started to ban everyone for playing passive or badly as top tier. I suspect the game would not last log with a reputation like that. As I can name a few online games that did just that to make the "good players"happier, and none of them are around anymore.

Heck even more active players might get banned then, inc you for all we know if it was that easy. As what is bad and passive for you, or a bot. Differs for a "better" player. As in everyone below them on WR and WN8 more or less.

It's why you have the WR you have, because you have faced them. And if WG removed all the 46% players and lower, even some forum goers here would be banned. And I'm willing to bet half the peak hour population would be gone too.

Bots would actually be better. Some of the things you see being done are so mind-blowingly stupid you just know there's an actual person behind the keyboard.

Thank you so much for this.

My Novel will appreciate such addition.

It is quite insightful.

I know, but I wouldn't mind having 52% WR because all those 46% WR players were able to shoot 2 times in the battle (shouldn't be too much to ask from humans) and have 48% WR instead. So they would play better and my winrate would decrease, but the battles would be better.

I just had a battle in Malinovka, 3-5-7 MM and we have a 45% T-54 as top tier. What does it do? Well, as you can tell by the winrate, nothing. It camped in the base all battle because T-54 should not use it's mobility to win the battle. *edited

They might be bots or just bad players. In any case WG won't care as long as it doesn't affect income in a bad way. Money is the only thing that matters to wargaming.

In a world where common sense has a place, the problem would have been dealt with a long time ago. Then again, WG is a company not known for common sense.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this game has one of the most incompetent playerbases out there. There are human players who play worse than bots...

Yes, but then there are obvious bots too.

Some bots are really bad as bots if nothing else.

I encountered one in this battle last week:

http://wotreplays.eu...bba1f41ace05cdc

Got shot as I thought it was afk,  and wasn't ready for it to aim at me as soon as it had line of sight (having made no action prior to this, except for driving into a wall)

If you need a clue as to who it was, it got the least xp on the enemy team.

It's worth watching the replay to see how these simple bots behave,  and it's definitely a bot.

Wargaming should be able to instantly detect and ban these bots,  but still seem unable to do so.
