Whats wrong with accuracy of the top gun of this thing? I dont know if its simply me doing bad in it or not but its making the tank unplayable for me. I cant hit anything more than 150-200 metres away from me. Even when i let the aim circle get as small as it can get the shot seems to miss a meter from the target. Any tips on how to properly use the top gun? Right now im using the 7,5cm gun for this tank as its much more accurate.

I used it with the 7.5cm too. It has better pen, accuracy and DPM. Some use the 8.8 for the alpha but you need to be closer.

My guess would be that you got a quite bad crew in it, I use the 8,8 cm gun and love every minute of playing the tank, heck it have 2,549.21 DPM without any equipment on it!

I have a 105% commander who is training his first perk and rest of the crew is 95% and have vents,rammer and camo net so yeah it might be the crew might not but I doubt its bad crew.

When you got Sixth Sense on the commander and an overall decent crew it starts behaving a lot better, I'll get in-game now and take a screen shoot of my crew for ya.

yeah the top gun is not really good for long range sniping and you'll also bounce alot at long range but...at medium-long range...whole other story

See what skill boosters you can afford to run on a regular basis, using chocolate gives 10% to accuracy, train BIA at some point for another 5%, vents another 5% etc, Directives too

 

For 50% faster training grab a German premium TD and use your personal reserves for the daily doubles etc.

I use the top gun for the extra alpha damage and because the 75 can't track in one shot.

You have 3gameplay with jpz4 :

• Find a bush on a TD location and snipe things your scouts are spotting. (low risk, low reward)
• Find a bush normally resardved for LT and spot+snipe while remaining unspotted due to high camo (medium risk high reward; this kind of map are rare)
• Go with the medium and play as a 2nd line tank (high risk medium reward)

dont train BiA now coz it wont work until youre at 100% and all members have it -  train sixth sense or camo/repairs and change the skill to BIA afterwards

Swap your camo-net for binocs asap, you can't rely on your teammates to spot sadly.

It's kinda derpy sometimes and shell velocity is not very high, but as soon you get aware of that and start to compensate you will never go back to the 7,5.
As everybody wrote above a good crew can help, but the "problem" will not disappear.

Grinding it atm with the short 88, not liking the gun properties (penetration, shell velocity, effective aim time), should try the 75 again. Played the Jpanther with 105 already and liked it. Looking forward to have it on my own account, even though I don't like tank destroyers.

I drove the JP4 with Rammer, net, binos. But that was 7 years ago and it sucked super hard. (The guns only had 135 and 132 pen, respectively). I sold it the instant I unlocked the Jagdpanther. 

 

The JP4 suffers from the typical TD problem: when you play offensively you get blasted, and if you're doing well it's because your team is losing.

It's been buffed since then

and this setup worked pretty well for it

played it long time ago, but pretty sure I used the 7.5 cm all the grind.
