Here are a couple of vehicles that should be in every tanker's garage.

I appreciate that you guys are recommending vehicles to newer players, but itsn't it a bit screwed up that you're recommending people to get a bunch of overperforming tanks so that more people can go sealclub? A problem that is driving newer players away more and more frequently?

I'm not saying every single vehicle on the list is blatantly OP or anything. But you guys are clearly aware that some of these are definitely overperforming. And now you're kinda promoting more people to go sealclubbing in a bunch of overperforming tanks.

"To help you on your new adventures, we put together this list of easy to play, fun, competitive and overall great vehicles to check out."

I'd be a lot happier if a list like this wasn't even needed, and every single tank available could be fun, competetive and be an overall great vehicle...

Even if that would be the case, beginners are probably overwhelmed by the amount of tanks to choose from (we're talking about 40 tanks per tier just in the techtree).

And I don't think all of the tanks on that list are overperforming at all (some certainly are), while some overperforming tanks are certainly missing. It's a loose-loose situation anyway: Either WG recommends strong tanks, and you pull out the sealclubbing argument. Or they recommend not-so-strong tanks and people will complain that beginners are lured into a trap.

I do not get your point. If the newcomers buy recommended tanks and go fight, it is hardly sealclubbing?
And the more seasoned players already got those tanks anyway, so... Or rather have had then and sold them not looking back.

I have used my 100% discounts to gain a few more credits from selling. It net me some silver that I can stockpile. And the 13-105 is on discount once I finish the 1390 grind, about 25K left, so I am happy.

Quite agile although not typically fast, this light tank can be equipped with a dangerous howitzer. This particular one is unlike any other, with the lowest shell velocity in the entire game

The last is not true, The Best Tonk In The Game Churchill I has a howitzer with even slower projectiles. Much, much slower.

not all of those recomendations are really beginner friendly, otherwise good move community.

tanks I noted for beeing rather difficult:

renault UE  Tier III french tank (loved it when I played it but it's also a tank that expects you to perfectly understand how to use it to be succesffull)

archer: British tier V td (fine tank but it can only really move backwards)

amx elc bis: tier V french light (used to be the tier V fun light back in the day, these days others apear to far more popular for example the chaffee)

Even though the WG list only goes up to T5, I will just add this:

How about reminding people when they need to choose their discount tanks by, and that the discounts remain indefinitely on those tanks until purchased?
That way people won't miss out or be hurried into the wrong choices.

What jack747 said!

For those of us who's been around a while these things are known, but new players will be oblivious about these issues :)

And impressed that you actually managed to make a news announcement that wasn't about some kind of money-grab miliking "get this premium tanks now before its too late".  Something we also know is a blatant incorrect fact .... any vehicle will come around and around and around again.

Only good thing to say about you after 2018 have ended, you did manage to include offers during countdown to x-mas into in-game client for gold.  At least until the final one...there you facepalmed again

tl:dr back to mostly / completely #walletclosed since you again have proven to be mosty about moneygrabs and not about making the game better :(

Get it free/discounted +then immediately sell it as a CR bonus

Im on tier 8 Pershing now, and I want to buy Patton M48 on discount.

I have a noob problem: how can you use the discounts? I am Festive level 10. I unlocked the discounts. I bought tier 7 TD and paid the full silver price. No discount. Is there a way to activate the discounts?

LE: I got it. You must click the middle top button Level Rewards. Silly me :(

You have to apply the discounts before holiday ops ends (14 Jan 060-0?), but the discounts stay active forever.
