No, this is in the hope the vehicles come before the interface to choose the discount disappears, which based on last year (so far) was mid-March. I am waiting to find out when it will expire this year :P

everybody is very keen on that information, so please share it with us once you find out.

There's a right and a wrong way to phrase what you said, this is wrong. The t67 is a solid choice as a tank to choose for 100% discount.

you must distinguish between actual information and attention-grabbing teasers ;)

btw, there is no time limit for the christmas lady-crews recruitment, is there? I assume, once they are in your barracks awaiting your tank designation, they can sit there forever. Is that correct?*

*softball chance to provide useful information ;)

I have a question. I have unlocked the female christmas gang (and also got Simon Claws) from the holiday ops missions, must I recruit them/attach them to a tank before january the 14th? Or can I do do it later in the year. I don't know to which nation or tank I will put them in..

Even if that would be the case, beginners are probably overwhelmed by the amount of tanks to choose from (we're talking about 40 tanks per tier just in the techtree).

And I don't think all of the tanks on that list are overperforming at all (some certainly are), while some overperforming tanks are certainly missing. It's a loose-loose situation anyway: Either WG recommends strong tanks, and you pull out the sealclubbing argument. Or they recommend not-so-strong tanks and people will complain that beginners are lured into a trap.

Why are you not reading what I said? lol

I myself also said that not all vehicles on the list are overperforming. Please read carefully next time.

My point being is that the problem is that there actually are overperorming and underperforming tanks. Your last sentence kind of explained the problem. There is no balance between the tanks. That is my main point.

I do not get your point. If the newcomers buy recommended tanks and go fight, it is hardly sealclubbing?
And the more seasoned players already got those tanks anyway, so... Or rather have had then and sold them not looking back.

I have used my 100% discounts to gain a few more credits from selling. It net me some silver that I can stockpile. And the 13-105 is on discount once I finish the 1390 grind, about 25K left, so I am happy.

I said "newer" players. Not "new" players.

A "newer" player with maybe 1k battles can still go sealclub in a Hetzer and ruin the day for new players who are literally playing their first tier 3 tanks on maybe their first or second day of playing.

My main point is literally explained in my last sentence of my first post. It's that there is no balance between the tanks. A good balanced game should not have over and under performing tanks of this level. Why can't every tank justt be "fun, competetive and an overall great tank to play?" I'm not saying it should be perfectly balanced, since such a thing is impossible. But the performance gap is very noticable and should be made much smaller. That is my main point.

Edit: Also wanted to add, that seasoned players are irrelevant of this subject. There's still plenty of people who are starting to get the grasp of this game, but might have not discovered the potential of sealclubbing yet.

Who now might as well have bought a cruiser or a hetzer to derp new players in the face at this very moment.

In the end, WG is recommending a few overperforming tanks to anyone who can read this. It will without a doubt increase the amount of people who will abuse it, and thus, keep ruining lower tiers.

And this problem would not be as big of an issue if lower tiers were actually balanced.

It is strange offering discount for tier II vehicle, which you can receive playing tank tier IV or higher. But OK, maybe ppl want to start other nation.

"Let's make it easy for new players to see what the best/strong/better tanks are at each tier if they're not sure". Not everything is about seal clubbing, but about helping out players who perhaps don't know better vs those who do know better only play strong tanks, but it's OK for them because they enjoy it, everyone else who does it is evil and are seal clubbers.... I hope you understand there's a difference.

Quite agile although not typically fast, this light tank can be equipped with a dangerous howitzer. This particular one is unlike any other, with the lowest shell velocity in the entire game

The last is not true, The Best Tonk In The Game Churchill I has a howitzer with even slower projectiles. Much, much slower.

Lol, I did not realize it until now. 243 m/s vs 182 m/s :teethhappy:

You should try it out. Looks absolutely ridiculous. And is absolutely unusable. But fun.

To be fair, it's not like a 100% discount on a T5 tank would make much of a difference if someone wanted to club. I'm a decent player, and playing T5 is such a massive chore. I can't be bothered, nor would I want to keep a good crew on it either. Someone specializing in a single vehicle is probably more of a problem than granting 5-600k of free low-tier tanks. It becomes boring if you're good at the game and not an idiot.

How about reminding people when they need to choose their discount tanks by, and that the discounts remain indefinitely on those tanks until purchased?
That way people won't miss out or be hurried into the wrong choices.

Was just about to ask that. ;)

I am patiently awaiting a T67 rebalance to tone down the vehicle (view range and rate of fire) to the same level or lower, than that of current Tier V Light Tanks, while, at the same time, resetting the Tier V-X Light Tanks to their previous stats.

Shells so slow you'd think it is playing angry birds! and i think it is on Churchill 7.
